Hierarchy
The hierarchy of the Pandorian Pantheon is primarily a title more than it is a description of a specific deity's power. The 8 Disciples as they were the first to be ascended to their status by Aria are considered 'Greater Deities' and those that they ascend in their own time are called 'Lesser'. At the level of those that are called Supported Demi or just simple Demigod/dess these have a very distinct separation from their higher beings.
A Supported Demigod/dess is receiving direct assistance from their patron in the manner of bestowing some of their power to their protégé. These individuals since they have been infused with their mentors power have very likely exceeded the mortal norms and their abilities within their chosen sphere of influence are also beyond those of their peers. This does not mean that they are immune from death, but it is going to be difficult to kill them. The risk is also that their patron may not like the idea of their chosen to be struck down, but then again, do we really understand the machinations of the gods, maybe this is part of their plan for them?
Demigod/desses are the fledglings that have gained the eye of a possible divine benefactor, these people have set themselves apart by either completely devoting themselves to their deity of choice, or making amazing accomplishments with nothing more than their own mortal abilities. They could also gain the attention of an intended deity or an unintended one by performing some cryptic quest bestowed upon them by a perceived vision or by some priest of a particularly interested deity. It has been known to many that if a quest or task that has been given that seems well beyond the normal abilities of mere mortals could actually be one deity's way of removing a possible threat to their position in an area and another deity's way to see if the individual is truly devoted to them even unto their demise.
