Tall in stature, average build, light brown hair, and deep blue eyes. Always seen carrying a very large tome that he is always writing in.Gort is reported to be always dressed in traveling gear with a pack and walking stick. Wearing dark leather boots, with a coin on the lacing embossed with the symbol of Aria on it. He always wears bright and vibrant colors

  • Priests will always wear something that has swan feathers sewn into it or get them tattooed on their bodies
  • Polyamorous - actually it is expected to have no less than 3 'partners' by reaching middle age, they do not marry in the common sense of marriage, but have multiple partners at different locations.
  • If a partner decides to be devoted to a single priest, it is done solely by the choice of the partner, not of the priest.
  • Cannot spend more than one year in a single location
  • Can return after one year
  • Must carry a journal with them everywhere they go. Once it has been filled the priest much take the book to one of the 8 cathedrals of Gort, obtain a new blank tome, and begin again.
  • Journals are diaries always written in first-person perspective
  • Priests will defend their journals viciously, they will always start with the minimum amount of force, they will not kill the thief, and they will however take a thumb.
  • Priests have been known to risk their lives and at times have lost their lives in retrieving their journals. They feel the loss of a journal is the loss of a life.
  • A priest must devote all resources and time to recovering it.
  • If they are found to have abandoned a journal, they will be excommunicate from the church and lose all priest abilities.
  • If a priest is found to have embellished his journal, priests are giving a choice of either excommunication or to actually accomplish the task/deeds/events. With no gain to experience levels
  • Once they have made true the embellished tasks, they can then start a new journal and gain experience again.
  • • Priest will allow all races to join their ranks there are however age requirements

  • Half-elf -> 60 years old
  • Elf -> 175 years old
  • Dwarf -> 125 years old
  • Deity Abilities:

  • Speak any spoken humanoid language.
  • Gort only needs to spend 1 turn listening to the language and can then speak it fluently
  • Write any humanoid language
  • Need to only see the alphabet written once and can then write it fluently.
  • Perfect spellcraft.
  • Knows exactly what it takes to cast a spell, just has to see, feel, or be attacked by the spell
  • This includes all components of the spell, somatic, verbal, and physical components
  • Foretell result.
  • Can tell the result of a single action
  • This is not predicting the future, but simply basing experience on what will happen if someone performs an action.
  • 99% accurate (1% attributable to free will)
  • Priests These priests are sought out for their wisdom and experience, the difficulty that most kings, queens, dictators, warlords have is keeping them in place for more than a year. As it is a requirement for these wandering priests to not stay in one place for too long. If two priests are on the opposite sides they will, at the expense of the monarch, will try to find out who’s had more experience based on the winner. They may try to avoid the conflict if their experience shows them it will be a protracted conflict.   Duties of Priesthood:

    • - Armor restrictions: Leather
    • - Sphere:All, Combat, Divination, Protection, Weather

    • - Finding a turtle at a crossroads (G).
    • - Hearing whale song (G)
    • - Losing journal (B)
      Worshipers Alignment: Any   Gort has a pendant in the shape of a coiled serpentine dragon. The pendant is supposedly made from a sky stone.
