The Sovereignty Council - Mirtul 1375

Despite the building of his new obelisk Nihilus continues to insist on meeting within the City Hall with the council. A few members of the council were uneasy with Gulx absence during the month's council meeting but things continued smoothly without him.

Upkeep
With the kingdom growing near self sufficient little attention was given to the coffers, instead the council mostly focused on the unrest beginning to bubble throughout the city, With the war in such recent memory the peopler were nervous that two council members continued to hold private armies within the kingdom, and with no firm hand to keep the population in line an increased gaurd presence is all the kingdom could manage for now.
  Edict
Turning to council matters the Sovereign chose now to fulfill a promise of power, removing Sheol from their post, replacing them with Taiella so that Runa could take Taiella's position. Taiella only being allowed to keep her position thanks to a task she'd completed with the help of Hans Dalabrac. Finding her initiative refreshing, Nihilus assigned multiple members of his council tasks he expected them to complete over the next month. The kingdom's territory was further reinforced and enriched thanks to the careful building planning of the council, with the new Treasurer Runa keeping the budget in check. And finally the Sovereignty decided it was time to name some of the roads within their territory, though choosing to leave the naming of the road spanning from Hunter's Glenn to Fjordhaven up to the Kingdom of Fjordhaven as an olive branch to further strengthen their relations.
  Upkeep
Thanks to the new leadership and the continued income of West Haven's black market the coffers continued to stay well stocked.
  Event
With the Long Night washing over the populace, no trouble was brewing for the mighty empire, leaving the month relatively peaceful.
