The Family Crest

Carlisle Crest is desperately trying to hold onto the vestiges of influence his family holds. His father, Argo Crest, has gone missing - off on some adventure for glory. The Crest family has consistently lost standing in Emerald since Carlisle's grandfather, Otho Crest, was caught with dirty politics. Argo did his best to restore the name but was unable to do so as a series of unfortunate events kept taxing the family coffers and using up what favors he could muster.   Carlisle is the only biological Crest child alive now, and of the 4 adopted children, their fates are unknown. Juniper Crest, Carlisle's mother, died in Hallows, 19. Apparently, as Carlisle has been discovering, his parents were on to something.
