Staff of the Gestirnwanderer (Staff of the Star Walker)

The Staff of the Gesirnwanderer has a sextant at the head of the staff, the holy symbol of the Sailor. It is made from Darkwood salvaged from a shipwreck. Darkwood trees grow in complete darkness and the wood is lightweight, weighing about half what most shipbuilding wood would weigh, making it good for crafts that require swiftness and maneuvrability. The residual magic from the original craft means that anyone holding the staff, or even with the staff slung across their back becomes lighter and fleeter of foot, mechanically increasing their base speed by 10.   The staff can store up to 10 charges of magical energy at a time, and can be used to cast the stored spells. Although not all of the spells are celestially focused to the Sailor, they would be useful for a sailor to know and use. Anyone that can cast one of the spells in the staff can sacrifice spell slots to add more charges to the staff.
