Venashir

To become a Venashir is not an easy undertaking, though the level of qualifications is minimal; to afford all manner of people to become a Venashir regardless of their wealth, education or social standing. As such the entry qualifications only include a willingness to serve and to be considered an adult in the eyes of Todoshi law, by definition 17 years of age. There is no limit or restriction on gender, but most Venashir's are male, or masculine presenting, most fem Todoshi who wish to serve in a spiritual or religious capacity instead enter the sisterhood of the Yimana.   After starting down the path to become a Venashir, initiates enter a form of schooling, being taught to read if they are unable and learn the names, roles and commands of the Todoshi Gods. Whilst the Todoshi mainly follow the Draconic pantheon of Udosix like the rest of the continent, they do have their own Gods, or more accurately demons/spirits that they worship and give praise too. After 4 years of education and working among the temple/shrine/monastery new Venashir choose a path to devote themselves too, be it the Spirtual or the Tactical. Either way they learn and specialise into their chosen fields, whilst maintaining a knowledge of the other.   The last qualification to become a Venashir is a vow, devoting themselves to the spirits and temples, and to the people of the Todoshi. This vow is a lifelong service, and whilst believed to be a vow of celebacy is infact not. Venashir instead vow to hold no family, have no connection or obession, and to remove all attachments.

The Venashir opperate as the religious and spiritual leaders and keepers of the Todoshi shrines, monastaries and temples. A Venashir will have multiple roles and jobs they undertake in this capacity, maintaining the temple/shrine, giving advice and leading worship for those who travel to them, and even advising the Lords and leaders of the Todoshi courts and militaries in times of war.
