Great Hall of the Fallen
Purpose / Function
The original purpose for the hall was to act as Bjorg Korinson's seat of power in Osomi, and a place Clan Eternity could govern from. After being rebuilt the hall become a memorial site and temple to the Gods; the interior that once housed bedrooms, feasting halls, armouries and general storage became instead a version of Valhalla on Oxdara. The once feasting hall is now adorned with carvings and statues to the Gods, as well as smaller effigies and statues to the fallen, allowing those on Oxdara to feast, drink and remember those gone like they would eventually one day in Valhalla itself.
The area around the outside of the hall was left untouched during the years before the children retook the city; the whole area left as a scar and warning to those who would try to continue Bjorg's dream. Due to this no new buildings were made in the intermediate years, so after retaking and rebuilding the hall the area outside has become a communal garden and memorial site, a stark difference to the loud and Valhalla like reverance inside; the outside garden being calmer, quite, a place for personal and small rememberance and worship, espically to the Vanir Gods.
Alterations
After the assassination of Bjorg Korinson and the leaders of Clan Eternity the Great Hall in Osomi was burnt to the ground, leaving only the stone foundations and burnt out shell standing for years. After Bjorg's children retook Osomi and began rebuilding Clan Eternity, they rebuilt the Great Hall to be both the symbolic centre of the city and a memorial and reglious hall, a place to remember those lost and the Venkan-Ori Gods.
They rebuilt the hall as close as they could remember from their childhood, working with their guardian Nova Illierdottir and other older supporters of theirs to get the building as close to thier fathers seat of power as possible, whilst re-imagining the interior into a temple and memorial hall.
