The Great Plains of Borsca

The Great Plains of Borsca span all of the southern Middeland sea coast and continue further West into the Borscan continent. The plains cover 8 nations and are also the home of the Talaxes tribes and their mobile factories.

Geography

The Great Plains are part of the ancient bedding of the Middeland sea. It mostly consists of flatland, with a slow inclination towards the West. The area is bordered by the Great Ocean to the west, the Middeland sea coast to the north, the Ortello mountain range to the east and Queltran plateau in the south.

Fauna & Flora

Flora

The most common type of flora is purple grass and long blade thistles. The central wetlands are believed to be the place of origin for the Tarnap plant.

Fauna

The plains are home to various species, most noteworthy Vetruphants, Roqan Gazelles and the typical Bulquists sheep.

Natural Resources

The plains count the biggest population of sheep in the world, making the production of wool and meat the biggest export product from the plains. The second biggest industry is Tarnap cultivation. Both dry and wet plantations are being used.   A thriving Nickel and Silver industry can be found around the Queltran plateau.

The Talaxes tribes:
The Talaxes are a nomadic people that control most of the wool and meat industry on the Great Plains. Originally the Talaxes migrated on horseback, while herding their sheep, returning to the central market in Urdum to sell their wares.
For the past centuries the Talaxes live & work within their great mobile factories. Able to herd and process sheep year round. Each factory is controlled by a specific tribe. Continuing the ancient tradition of gathering at the central market, tribal elders now gather twice a year in Urdum to hold their great conference.
