The Bastion Ring

At the zenith of their might during the First Age the Elnorians wrought innumerable wonders upon the Realms. They reshaped the lands, created new life and revelled in the power they wielded without fear of judgement by a Creator who had long abandoned them.

Few wonders come close as the Bastion Ring. An immense construction a thousand miles in diameter and five hundred feet tall the Bastion surrounds the plateau in which Bel'Zanar rises toward the heavens. This oldest and greatest of the Elnorian Babel Towers was ever the seat of power for the ruling God-King, the Elnorian who had risen to dominate his fellows. The Elnorians claim that it was at the point where Bel'Zanar stands that they first trod upon the earth and to them it was sacred. That this is the centre of the nexus connecting the Realms also means it is a place of great importance. The Elnorians wrought the Bastion from the land itself and wove into its structure wards to render it indestructible. With but a single entrance through its southern point, the Bastion ensured that holy Bel'Zanar has never been conquered by military means and it withstood the chaos of the Cataclysm better than most of the other Babel Towers, likely due to the potent wards that are bound unto it.
