The Radiant Expanse

A swirling radiant cosmos, enumerable stars, planets and lifeforms inhabit this expanse. While technically in the same universe as earthrealm it is located far beyond the universe observable from earth and as such is given its own status as a realm.   Many sapient races inhabit this place, many of which did not originate from the radiant expanse. The entity known as Gold wind has on many occasions called upon sapient races, usually on the brink of destruction to come to the radiant expanse. Gifting them blueprints of advanced starships capable of traveling far beyond the speed of light, sometimes even through dimensions to deliver a colony to the radiant expanse. As such the sapient inhabitants of the radiant expanse hold high levels of technology and capabilities for interstellar flight.   The amount of inhabited and otherwise inhabitable planets present in the radiant expanse is far beyond the universal norm and is in fact, not naturally occurring. This expanse is presided over by four unknowably ancient beings, Blue wind, Red wind, Black wind and Gold wind. They are responsible for changing many dead rocks into fertile thriving worlds. Their presence known about, yet they remain enigmas, rarely communicating directly with people and having unknown origins.   The radiant expanse is a melting pot of alien species who have come to make their homes here. Trade, warfare, cultural exchange and exploration abound in this place with so many worlds still yet to discover.
