Kite dragon

A species of dragon with a huge wingspan, having the connective tissue running from their wings, down their sides to the tip of their tail. These wide sheets of wings give them them an appearance somewhat like a kite. This physiological adaption allows them to glide on the air currents in the upper atmosphere, reducing energy use when flying which facilitates extended continuous flights.
  The kite dragons are generally non-hostile to sapient species, often flying high out of reach and even difficult to see at such a distance. They rest atop mountains where they will have less distance to travel back to the upper atmosphere where they glide. They are omnivorous, generally eating small creatures, fish and fruits they find in the mountains. They will also make landfall near rivers and lakes lower down the mountains when they aren't able to find the food they need at the peek.
  They travel in groups of up to about 8 individuals and have animal level intelligence more or less, not capable of speech or advanced magic. As with all dragons though their physiology is intertwined with magic, giving them greater flight power and a magic based breath attack. Their breath attack creates powerful gusts on wind, capable of throwing people off their feet like a high powered hose. They are also able to used their wind based breath attack to amplify their roars and screeches as a booming sonic attack.
