Caelestia
As the Bulla Rimullae was created, so were the Caelestia. The Bulla Rimullae was created in a huge explosion of magic and energy, isolating the planets within the bulla in a pocket universe, forever hidden away from the other systems. This energy burst also created the Caelestia. Curae & Arbor, the mythical siblings, protectors of all that existed within the bulla. Their eternal mission is to protect, heal, and help the people of Ossium grow. When the Bulla was created, the siblings were only infants in the grand eternity of their lives. Over the billions of years it took for the planets to change into life-bearing ones, the siblings grew. As life finally came to be on Ossium, the Caelestia were there to watch and help.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Draconic form: Coloration depends on choice and geographic location. Will always have fur, feather wings, and same eye color.
Humanoid form: Black hair, digitigrade legs, large feather wings on back, horns protruding from head, sometimes fur tails, same eye color.
Disguised Humanoid form: Black hair, average human body, same eye color.
Genetics and Reproduction
The only two Celestia in existence are siblings and thus unable and extremely unwilling to produce more Celestia. Celestia are also completely unable to reproduce with any other species, due to immense anatomical, incubatory, developmental, and growth-related differences.
Growth Rate & Stages
As the Caelestia were created, not born, they have no other members of their species to compare to. There was some knowledge that they knew from the begining of their existence, such as their names, their purpose, and their immortality. Like insticts, these things were just known, but besides that, they have no knowledge of possible growth stages, muturing ages, or any biological information. When in a humanoid form, their body acts and can be treated similar to a humans, same as when in a draconic form.
Ecology and Habitats
Before the Celestia settled on Ossium as physical beings, they existed in space. Their true celestial forms are unknown. The forms they have on Ossium tend to match whatever species or culture they spend the most time with. The forms Celestia take can be completely normal and average to the species they exist alongside, but the Celestia often let abnormal or strange features of their natural forms leak into their mortal-like ones. Ex. having feather wings when in draconic form, having horns, wings, and digitigrade legs in human form. Although there are some things they cannot disguise. They apparently cannot change their inherent eye color, or change their teeth to be completely dull.
Dietary Needs and Habits
The Celestia tend to match the dietary habits of whatever species they hold the form off. Although they always enjoy meat, particularly red meat, regardless of form or the diet of the species they hold the form of.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Human form: Advanced hearing, sight, and sensory abilities. High agility, strength, and endurance. High magical strength and endurance. Impervious to death by any known means.
Dragon form: High magical strength and endurance. High endurance, and strength. Impervious to death by any known means.
When in a form that needs to eat, sleep, heal wounds, they will not die by any of these means, but that does not mean they don't feel the affects of these things. They can get hungry, or tired, or can passout from blood loss. They can feel pain, and while any form of injury will not kill them, it will slow them down, as they need time to heal. Signifigantly less time, but time none the less.
Civilization and Culture
Gender Ideals
Both Curae and Arbor are Non-binary and are unaware of if they have the ability to reproduce at all. They are unable to reproduce with dragons or humans and are not subject to the reproductive aspects of either when in those forms. Ex. Curae does not have a period when in humanoid or true human form. They are hermaphroditic in dragon form, Curae being female-leaning and Arbor being male-leaning. In human form, Curae is female, with small breasts and broad shoulders. Arbor is male, with larger hips and smaller shoulders. They both appear very androgonous, and this is most likely a purposeful choice.
Courtship Ideals
Curae is a demisexual lesbian, attracted to women and to female or hermaphroditic dragons. Arbor is asexual and bisexual. Both of them have had both dragon and human lovers.
History
As the first plants sprouted, the first flowers bloomed, and the first animals opened their eyes, the Caelestia were there. Waiting, patiently, for the first glimpse of sentience. And finally, sentience was found. Dragons evolved from their reptilian ancestors, and so the Caelestia were no longer alone in their intelligence. They changed their form, to appear as dragons, with feather wings instead of membranes, and fur along with scales. The Caelestia became the great elders of the dragons. They guided the first dragons into what they are now. Then came something the Caelestia did not expect. People. Very early people, but people nevertheless. The dragons were starting to find small groups of them. They began teaching them, and the people learned. The Caelestia took the form of people, but with wings, horns, tails, and strange digitigrade legs, and began living with the people. The Caelestia brought the dragons and people together.
