Leander hosted an incredibly lavish wedding as Sita Panikkar married Yassine Knottman.

The two young heirs from powerful political families were married in a lavish ceremony held in Harbour City.

The ceremony saw many famous names in attendance, including Halliday Vance (SDP), the movie star and producer who has turned to politics, Senator Connie Baxter (SDP), Uli Brahms (SDP), the CEO of Tanit and many more famous names.

The two young heirs from powerful political families were married in a lavish ceremony held in Harbour City.

Yassine Knottman, taking time away from his role in the Republic's diplomatic corps, looked unsteady as he arrived on horse-back and in the end, Commander Diwan Solarin, his brother, had to step in and hold the horse's bridle to avoid Yassine losing control.

The bride arrived on her mandap, which was on the back of an elephant. Sita Panikkar, who is the head of legal at Empyreal Entertainment, looked far more comfortable in her flamboyant and expensive looking dress.

After the ceremonies, which were a blend of "old Earth" traditions, Valtinist ceremony and simple exchanges of vows., there was a huge wedding lunch, which saw nine courses served with a range of food from across the Republic.

Famous chef Riley DeNoy had been hired from his restaurant in Dhaka to prepare the courses and exotic recipes such as glazed duck breast in a thyme and orange sauce, Remillion artichokes on a bed of grated ice fennel and the desert course of mint brioche, raspberry and white chocolate ice-cream and Siro-Fruits from the jungles of St Lawrence.

Entertainment included a set by Bywater Nokes, the rapper and friend of Halliday Vance, a karaoke session aided by an impressive AR display and a DJ set by Orion Pilaed.

The newlyweds looked incredibly happy, if tired, at the end of the night as they were flown away in a specially designed shuttle, that had been inlaid in silver and bore the crests of House Panikkar and House Knottman. The people of Leander were certainly impressed and turned out in droves to wish the happy couple well.
