Session 94
General Summary
SESSION BEGINS on the night of Lucom 18th as they prepare for BED in the Thindrline Inn Tavern.
- Mak'Ti and Da'ath BLIP OUT
- BORD Dreams, as do the others
LONG REST into LUCOM 19th
- after much discussion of weirdness, they decide to settle in for the night after finishing their training and practice
- Mak'Ti and Da'ath blip out while practicing meditation, VERY STRANGE
- VRAE decides to do a DIVINATION, which does not happen like usually, very scary and dark, before it is broken up by her god who is only able to whisper that they will find Alphanis in Magiault
- Gorrazar agrees to take first watch, as he does so, everything goes OUT OF FOCUS, and when he can see again, the group is sleeping on the top deck of a massive ocean galleon, unbelievably huge (7-8 stories high), surrounded by FOG and an inky black SEA
THE SHIP OF MADNESS PT 1
- They convince themselves it is NOT a dream, reluctantly, finding all their items and weapons GONE
- Bord feels uneasy when they attack or break apart the ship
- When looking overboard, they see a massive golden eye just beneath the waves
- Narinn finds a JOURNAL of a man who went MAD aboard the ship, claiming the sea and the FOG were ALIVE and that he was slowly joining the sea/fog, losing his mind
- They decide to head into the ship to look for answers, being very weary
THE SHIP OF MADNESS PT 2
- Long unending hallways that almost seem to be rearranging themselves, whispers only Bord can hear, and Gorazzar eventually figuring out only BORD can lead them through this insanity.
- They find a room with a POLAROID, and find a picture of a small lifeboat and the words "The Only Way Out"
- Narinn takes a picture of himself, but when it develops it is not HIM in the picture
- They are attacked by a strange creature that Bord is able to repel, but it is super creepy
- When Gorazzar and Vrae try to use the Queen's Unkindness to communicate, they are dealt PSYCHIC DAMAGE
- Later, they find broken shards of a mirror on the ground, and when Bord looks within, he is lost in a DAYDREAM from months before:
DREAMS when BORD LOOKS IN THE MIRROR SHARDS
- SAME dream for BORD from Session 3 of this Campaign, dreams the characters had on the night of Jamarro 10th, at the "Cave Inn" in Twin Falls in Oroccid.

- JANUARY 18, 2023 in the real world.
"You're in an arena, massive; have you been here before? No. But you've seen ones like this. You look around, every seat in the place is taken. You hear music start, strumming on a lute, the soft boom of a drum, the melodic warble of a birdpipe. You think "De must be preddy good, ya?" You turn toward the stage and see a single musician. His clawed talons are tapping the drum, his black feathered wings playing the guitar, while a wooden frame held together with twine is holding the birdpipes close to his beak. With a shock you realize, "Its Bord Agatta! Ah Man, he's the best!" But wait! That cannot be right. Not the part about being the best, you believe that with all your heart. But that can't be Bord. You're Bord! Well, not like "bored," I mean the music's pretty good, and how often do you really get to go out and just enjoy the arts... You shake away the superfluous thought, and shout "Imposter!" Without a moment's hesitation you pull out your pistol, take aim, and fire at the bard on the stage. The birdpipe shatters into splinters as the rocketing lead plows through it, past the performer's beak, and buries itself deep within his cranium. His body drops, the guitar clattering to the floor. You wince as you hear strings snap. A hush falls over the crowd. You look around and realize every person in the stadium is faceless, their features hidden within the deep black depths of crimson robes. A chant begins, "Bring him back. Bring him back. Bring him back." You flee, barreling down the aisle and into the empty foyer, where a red-skinned Tiefling smiles at you, dangling a small sack with little flecks of white powder falling to the ground. You shout "No time!" and run right past him, as the sound of hundreds of footsteps can be heard approaching from the theater... You slow down. "Well maybe." You run back, legs pumping up and down as you hand him 3 gold pieces and he drops the bag into your open palm. "Nice doing business with-AHH" you grab the Tiefling and toss him to the ground in front of the doorway, hoping his body might trip your pursuers. You burst out the main doors and leap up to take flight... and fall flat on your face. You look up to find Mak'Ti and Vrae sitting at a wooden table, furiously writing on parchment after parchment, dipping their quills into ink over and over again, and tossing them into a nearby fireplace after each line.... wait, those quills! You see a bowl of black feathers between the two of them, and look down to find your wings have been completely plucked. POINK A flash of pain as Vrae rips another feather off your head. You grab the bowl and continue running, searching for refuge. You pass a shop, glancing inside to see Lykalada'ath (LIE-CALL-A-DAH-ATH) standing behind the counter, placing a bloody human hand on a hook, and affixing a price tag of 200 gold pieces on it. You run on, pass another shop whose window is full of some gelatinous dessert that is wiggling oddly. Inside, T'nin, wearing what looks like a chef's hat and an apron, is dumping a small bag, similar to the one you just bought, into the mix. He waves and shouts 'J'llo!" The mob is on the street now, they've spotted you. "Bring him back. Bring him back." You try to pick up speed. You run past your family, just barely hearing your father mutter "...at least with his wings plucked you can't see that stupid color, nor how freakishly big they are." You trip, everything slows down as you fall... and then time catches up as you land hard on a solid black metal floor. Dazed, you look around and see iron bars all around you. Your cage is suspended above a massive lake. In the distance, all around you from every shoreline, you hear the chanting continue, "Bring him back. Bring him back" You glance down at the lake, reflecting the obsidian black of the night sky, and you see something beneath the water's surface. An oval of glowing gold, with a circle of deep crimson red, almost black, in the middle, the whole thing bigger than any of the ships you've seen at the Twin Falls docks. The chanting stops. The silence is thick with nauseating fear. You cannot tear your gaze away from the thing in the water.... (wait a beat) It blinks. You wake up screaming in terror."
THE SHIP OF MADNESS PT 3
- Bord leads them down the hallway, past another room with another terrifying Eldritch Monster which he hastily shuts, and into a room where NARINN has a vision of a ritual being done by a group of people some time in the past, one of them being the man from the POLAROID of himself
- They explore the room, finding ritual components in the Warddrobe in the back (and breaking through the back of it to make sure there was no secret entrance to a fantasy land), and examine a portrait of a Kraken, which had a riddle in the back
- The nonsensical riddle's answer was "THE UNKNOWN" - which BORD solves, and water pours out of the portrait, forming a perfect circle in the middle of the room as outside a massive storm rages, shrieking can be heard, the ship lurches, and it feels like reality itself is tearing itself apart.
- They hastily construct the ritual, and find writings in the journal which correspond to the ritual, reciting the words as the floor drops out
THE FINAL ESCAPE
- They find themselves on a small lifeboat in the middle of the sea, the fog surrounding them but keeping a distance of 40-50 feet, making them the center of a kind of reverse eye (white on the outside, black on the inside)
- They move, but the fog follows them, and they get nowhere
- Eventually, they hear snoaring and deep breathing, and decide to follow it, Gorrazar leading the way
- However, he discovers when following the sounds, it all points back to BORD, who oddly is wide awake
- They realize they have to WAKE UP BORD, and proceed to beat the shit out of him
BACK IN THE BAR
- They find themselves back in the bar, Gorrazar's vision returning to normal, but all with a memory of the strange events, Bord feeling particularly beat up
- They finish their long rest, and decide to go shopping in the morning before heading to Magiault
- Da'ath and Mak'Ti blip back in

- CLOOAD Currently Shutdown - all fighters encouraged to join local army (Obreriault, Magiault, Genasi Kingdom, OINC Oroccid Independent Nations Coalition
- WASTELANDS - Acolytes of Keyrth Battling X-Cult in Wastelands - Reports of Necromancy and Undead roaming the nearby lands, as well as Treants being spotted throughout the once dead lands (TIBAC THE TORTLE one of the leader's speaks directly with Keyrth, who he calls for aid)
- CAMBREY VALLEY and the Surrounding MOUNTAINS Shrouded in Darkness - all the vampires dead/ perished, dissolved after BLACK TEAR killed Khonaheeto, valley back to normal now
- ELDATHIR - currently under siege by Forces of Malar after ILLUSORY SHIELD went down - repelled forces of Malar, but still under blockade
- MAGIA - fell to the dragons (taken by surprise), people fled to Doreduum and Winda, MAYOR URSA EDRENS killed by Abishai, Saphielle taken captive (most assume she died in the fighting), Concillium meeting on Winda to decide next actions (calling for AID from Obreriault)
- LLEGOSERT - fell to invading STAR SPAWN - town in ruins, no sign of the FLAYERS BANE ship or her crew, though the hangar was flattened (ship crushed inside, PANCHEEM and FLIMP dead within, Elasfar survived, BARELY, escaped to search for The Black Tear in THINDRILINE)
GENASI KINGDOMS
CLOUDSCAPE and FUGORE- have now taken over TWIN FALLS, WARRENSTONE, DRACOSTELLUM, GIMLOTH and BOLUDO (first attacked by X-Cultists who ransaced the Cathedral To Boldrei and stole the ROD OF RESURRECTION, THEN Cloudscape invaded)
- Left token garrisons in these cities as they retreated to protect their own cities from invading forces from the Far Realm and armies of the newly revealed CABAL OF CTHULHU
- now allies with WINGPERCH and GIMLOTH
- Trying to rebuild after losing many lives and forces to Cloudscape and Fugore, all but Wingperch on high alert from Star Spawn from the desert and UNDEAD from the Wastelands, barely enough to troops to protect their own cities

- WARRENSTONE & DRACOSTELLUM - Martial Law under control of FUGORE (Harengon underground resistance remains and is protecting city from UNDEAD)
- PALMPOINT - UPDATE - Fugore and Oreton forces have retreated, Ushani left for NEW SHI, on their own, most are packing up to flee to BRIGHTSHELL harbor, one of the last safe and FREE Bastians in Oroccid (since its a walled city, safe from the UNDEAD and STAR SPAWN)
- BRIGHTSHELL HARBOR - Moderately okay after the Genasi War, but full of REFUGEES (think Ba Sing Se) and all troops working to repel UNDEAD from Wastelands being sent in by X-CULT
- ETERNAL CURRENT MONASTERY - a ruin currently, all having FLED to Brightshell harbor
- GIMLOTH Currently Under MARTIAL LAW under control by Fire Giants and Other Massive Creatures from Elemental Plane of FIRE, the few that remain of the dwarves are shoring up defenses against the undead, the enemy Garrison offering little help
- ELDATHIR Currently being attacked once more by forces of MALAR along with help from the DARK EMBER MONASTERY
- NEW ENSALADA Leadership Captured/Wiped out by Thorman's forces, now under his command (Cult Members enslaved/ scattered), the location abandoned
- MAGIA - currently under control of Cult of Tiamat with Abishai in control, headquarters for the Cabal and Aberration Assault on Domunz
- CHALINOS- water blockade by Aboleth, daily assault by Dragons from Magia, Protection holds still holding, but people are frightened and supplies are starting to get scarce, especially with all the refugees from Magiault
- THINDRILINE - last Bastian of Freedom and Security in lower Domunz
- NEW SHI - blocked at sea by Aboleth's, handling LOTS of refugees, but holding strong, despite increasing infernal presence in area around the city
- ZYN and UNDERDARK - currently under attack by Cult of Lolth terror groups, bombing, cave collapses, and Dryder/Spider/Wurm attacks, travel in the area very dangerous
- MIRAXALIM - last Free Bastian of security in NORTH of Domunz, thousands of Obreriault refugees from all the islands, holding off daily scouting assaults from Mind Flayers from Obreriault Island and their strongholds across the island chains

JUDAI'ARUK'S NEW PLAN
COMPLETED PARTS
- JUDAI'ARUK Taking Control of the Cabal of Cthulhu
- T'nin defects to Judai'aruk, having regained his memories, bringing the Vedalken the bottle of LUKAS HELVIIREN, who T'nin overheard speaking about his master, the Djinn Genie Keth. They torture Lukas and get the location of Keth, and they head to EXPA to demand wishes from her, bringing the might of the Cabal alongside them.
- Next he finds the mortat remains of DREW SCROLL, intent on raising him from the dead using the ROD OF RESURRECTION stolen by the X-CULTISTS from the Cathedral to Boldrei in BOLUDO, so he can cast the MASS RAISE DEAD spell he created over 100 years ago
- Next, he sets RENARD to find Eldath and STEAL THE CARAFE, fulfilling the VISION
- At first Judai'aruk wishes for Cthulu to be awoken and freed, but not even Keth has that power. Next, he wishes for all the recombined ORRERY of the WANDERER, which she reluctantly grants him, massively weakening herself in order to save LUKAS's life. The half drow escapes, but not before he sees Judai'aruk kill Keth in her weakened state, having used so much power to gather and reconstitute the remaining pieces of the Orerry.
- Stole the KRAKEN SKULL in front of the YAW SHIP
- Next he has GAULDENAL head to GIMLOTH to kidnap Myrra (Speer member for the ritual), now has both SAPHIELLE and Myrra for the ritual, may use one of them as bargaining chip
- Next, he sends the ABISHAI to Magiault to Steal the POWER STONE (slowed by lack of Mak'Ti's eye) - if Group gets it, he'll blackmail them with BORD's FATHER/ family - they STEAL other 2 STONES to see if they will work, Judai'aruk after two weeks is confident he has worked out a variation of the ritual using these stones
- Without Bord or his child, Judai'aruk confident he can either blackmail Bord with his kidnapped family members who he just returned from the Elemental Plane of Air with, or just sacrifice Bord's father, ALSO a Bard
- Judai'aruk enhancing missing pieces of ritual components with Shards of Living Gate T'nin STOLE from Da'ath at the Gimloth house
- He has given the signal for "The trap" to keep Forces of Terus, including SPEER, at bay
STILL TO DO
- Currently, he is in Obreriault to collect the parasite from the Mind Flayers, the last step needed for his ritual to become an ELDRITCH LITCH to perform the ceremony Eldritch-lich - there until LUCOM 20th
- After the ritual, Judai'aruk is heading to LAKE URDA for THE AWAKENING, feeling confident he will finally be ready, and having already summoned hordes of warriors there to protect it already, including the Sahuagin
- T'NIN can decide during the battle/ritual whether to help his old allies or not
- JUDAI'ARUK does not realize it is ALL A HOAX to keep people distracted so the GREAT OLD ONE can work on warping the MIND of BORD
THE TRAP TO KEEP FORCES OF TERUS AT BAY
- Mind Flayers invade DOMUNZ, with World Brain touching down on Obreriault with main assault force (keep Magiault, Miraxilim and Obreriault at bay)
- Aboleth forces invades the Lancu Sea, attacking the smaller islands while Main Force attacks Chalinos
- Tiamat sends dragons daily to harass Tufenes from Magia, including using the portal to Abyss near CHALINOS to attack Tufunes (keep Chalinos and Thindriline at bay)
- Malar's Hunters attack Eldath once more joined by hired help from Dark Ember Monastery
- Undead Armies rise up in the WASTELANDS, heading for populace centers already decimated by SECOND ELEMENTAL WARS
- Eldritch Horrors reveal themselves from their gathering points in the Nalied Desert, striking at Llegosert, Palm Point, and Nomadic Tribes
