General Summary

Session Begins around 10am on Denocc the 27th, as they arrive in TEEP after escaping New Ensalada.

  • Cosa now a part of the group (for the moment, though she is being partially controlled by Judai'aruk through the necklace and hiding her rogue abilities as part of the plan to keep an eye on their group and protect the child till the ritual is ready)

ACROPOJIG

TEEP
  • Cosa VERY uncomfortable
  • Amphitheater is empty, an abandoned accordian sits on the stage, enchanted (MAGIC MOUTH) to continually play that annoying song\
Aside from the sound of the vibrant accordiance playing within the nearby amphitheater, silence reigns over this hamlet, seemingly in perfect order, but utterly devoid of any villagers. Doors hang wide open, but aside from the occasional wild critter there is no life within. A bucket lies beside the well, water spilled out over the still-damp soil, and the ashes in a nearby hearth are warm with a few glowing embers visible. In the distance, a chicken clucks within a coop, its eggs ungathered.   For Da'ath, this place ring alarms bells in his head, though he does not know initially why. Something tugs at the corners of his mind, but he cannot quite place it. (HIS Check DC 28 to recognize the presence of ABERRATIONS of the Far Realm)   PER CHECK - there is a smell of iron on the air, and decay nearby.   The street ahead is an eerie wasteland, devoid of sound and movement save for overturned barrels and other debris rustling in the wind. A otherworldly howl can be heard in the distance, sending a chill down your spine.   Everything feels wrong, twisted, mangled, the sunlight streaming down from the heaven feels sinister upon your skin, the clouds almost recoiling in the distance in abject terror.
 
  • MAGIC Generated by Star Spawns and Proxity to Cthulhu (their master) distorts and prevents all OUTGOING magic (no sending spells, message spells, teleportation circles, teleportation spells) (SEE WILD MAGIC TABLE for any PSYCHIC, MENTAL ABILITIES USED ROLL d20)
  • Magic distortion is PERMANENT - cementated by their sacrifices and BLOOD magics
  • THE GROUP MOVES CAUTIOUSLY, especially after they realize any MENTAL abilities are triggering WILD MAGIC
  • Gorrazar tries to activate his Tablet to PALM POINT, but after cracking it in half, nothing happens. Teleportation magic is not working here.
  • Da'ath especially is UNNERVED by the situation
  • Heavily investigates the Ampitheater, discovers the accordian with Magic Mouth cast on it, as well as the primitive ARROW TRAP left behind which Da'ath's "DIANE" triggers
  • A Heavy Fog rolls in
  • Gael follows the bloody tracks of whatever is causing the issue outside, but they soon disappear mid-step
  • They soon find a PLAZA with blood and dead bodies everywhere, as the STAR SPAWN appear and begin the attack
BATTLE WITH STAR SPAWN OF CTHULHU
  • Cosa runs and hides (after checking the group could handle) in order to protect her child
  • Da'ath in a blood rage continues to go after the Star Spawns alone, even though he is near death and keeps getting knocked unconscious
  • Gorrazar also in a rage (!!) as a Star Spawn murdere his father, and he gleefully takes down one after much battle
  • Most of the party members take a good amount of damage, especially after learning how fast these things are, and that they are RESISTANT to most physical damage, and immune to PSYCHIC damage
  • Belgar sadly also learns they are IMMUNE to fire and lightning damage as he wastes high level spells on the creatures
  • They finally take down both Star Spawns, Da'ath killing the last one who calls, IN COMMON, "You cannot stop what is happening. HE IS COMING."
AFTERMATH
  • They learn the whole area has been befowled by Dark/ insane magic of the Far Realm, even the beer Gorrazar tries to take has been corrupted and is turning into the black/bluish ichor that the Star Spawns were bleeding
  • Cosa wants to leave the area ASAP, especially after finding a LOCAL survivor who beckons them to hide out in the caves till the Yaw Conglomerate ship comes tomorrow.
  • They take and bury/burn all the halfling bodies and do the FUNERAL CEREMONY, and try to burn the aberrations but cannot as they are immune to fire.
  • They then follow the hafling guide down to the caves for the night.
SESSION END on Denocc the 27th around 9pm, after being led inside the caves of Acropojig by the survivors of Teep.

JUDAI'ARUK'S NEW PLAN

  • JUDAI'ARUK Taking Control of the Cabal of Cthulhu
  • T'nin defects to Judai'aruk, having regained his memories, bringing the Vedalken the bottle of LUKAS HELVIIREN, who T'nin overheard speaking about his master, the Djinn Genie Keth. They torture Lukas and get the location of Keth, and they head to EXPA to demand wishes from her, bringing the might of the Cabal alongside them.
  • Next he finds the mortat remains of DREW SCROLL, intent on raising him from the dead using the ROD OF RESURRECTION stolen by the X-CULTISTS from the Cathedral to Boldrei in BOLUDO, so he can cast the MASS RAISE DEAD spell he created over 100 years ago
  • Next, he sets RENARD to find Eldath and STEAL THE CARAFE, fulfilling the VISION

STILL TO DO

  • At first Judai'aruk wishes for Cthulu to be awoken and freed, but not even Keth has that power. Next, he wishes for all the recombined ORRERY of the WANDERER, which she reluctantly grants him, massively weakening herself in order to save LUKAS's life. The half drow escapes, but not before he sees Judai'aruk kill Keth in her weakened state, having used so much power to gather and reconstitute the remaining pieces of the Orerry.
  • Next he sets his sight on the KRAKEN SKULL in front of the YAW SHIP
  • Next, he sends the ABISHAI to Magiault to Steal the POWER STONE, using the EYE OF MAK'TI to guide them to it
  • Next he has GAULDENAL kidnap Baldir the Bold for the sacrifice
  • Finally, he he has the Mind Flayers bring him a parasite, and he becomes an ELDRITCH LITCH to perform the ceremony Eldritch-lich
  • Then he sets the TRAP
  • T'NIN can decide during the battle/ritual whether to help his old allies or not
