The Chung Kuo is the most advanced starship in known space. It weighs in at three times the tonnage of the next largest vessel and represents the bulk of Typhoon Initiative's resources. Few other powers in space are willing to invest this much into one ship- it's too dangerous. Nevertheless, the Chung Kuo's mere presence is enough to keep the Typhoon Initiative a major power in known space.
