History
The House of Eleras established Fairesoir as the first settlement of the newly minted Kingdom of Farraige in 3998 EA. Originating as a campsite for the expeditionary group situated between the pine woods and the river, the makeshift shelters and canvas tents gave way to Elven stonework as quarries were established at the base of the Khelreach Range.
Due to the limited numbers of enslaved humans in Eastern Farraige at the outbreak of The Human Rebellion, Fairesoir made it through the war years relatively unscathed, with Alerio's legions pushing East with no intent of turning their gaze to the vast Siarland. Although humans residing in the west of the Kingdom successfully revolted, creating the Kingdom of Upper Siar, they were unable to make gains in the heartland of Farraige.
In 165 IE, the House of Eleras was violently overthrown in a coup by Queen Alayana of Valendil, a decendent of King Valendil of Halentha living in exile in Fairesoir. Sneaking into the Castle at night with a retinue of Elven veterans of The Human Rebellion and Halenthan Corsairs from the South and slaughtering the Half Elven rulers in their beds. Under Alayana's rule, Fairesoir's military production has ramped up significantly, at the cost of its consumer and luxary goods industries. Civil unrest and discontent stirs in the Outer District, but any signs of uprising are brutally squashed by the Queen's Guard.
