TLRAF-Mark I

TLRAF-Mark I is a new ship design currently in development at the Cronus Station. It is designed specifically for the Ordo Templaris fifth Crusade using the latest available technology. The current prototype carries the name "Mir One"

Power Generation

Primary generator "T-PGU-Mark I" The Templar Power Generator Unit Mark I was developed specifically for the TLRAF class frigate made exclusively for the Ordo Templaris fifth Crusade and was heavily based on the older "C-PGU-Mark IX". Increased capacity was required for the extensive redundancy systems in the TLRAF and with a new type of capacitor the T-PGU-Mark I was able to support a sudden increase in power consumption without generator delay due to a buffered capacity. This would allow the ship to change from silent operations to full power without delay in case of emergency retreats.
Secondary Generator "C-APU-Mark VII" The Cronus Auxiliary Power Unit Mark VII is an older but trusted auxiliary power supply unit which can run all main critical and auxiliary systems in case of catastrophics generator failure. It cannot provide enough power for primary engines but can support secondary engines.

Additional & auxiliary systems

Each critical system has two redundancy systems installed whilst minor systems only rely on one auxiliary system. Standard outfitting includes spares and materials that allows for repair of any critical or minor systems or the manufacturing of required spares in the onboard workshop.   The ship is designed to be self sufficient and carries consumables enough for five to eighteen months depending on crew and passenger count. The onboard medbay is outfitted to treat any serious injury and houses a state of the art kolto tank. Any medical procedure can be carried out onboard without the need of a hospital.

Hangars & docked vessels

The ships new modular external docking design for integrated fighter/bomber/support-ships allow for a mixed outfitting. Total ship capacity is eighteen ships with the recommended outfitting being:
  Top - 5 Bombers 1 Shuttle
Starboard - 4 Fighters 2 Shuttles
Port - 4 Fighters 2 Shuttles
The cargo bay in the lower front of the ship can serve as a Hangar due to the large bay doors allowing for external docking of a wide variety of ship design and sizes. The cargo hold has a simple and spacious design to accommodate both docked ships and cargo depending on the size. A built in wall can be activated to divide the cargo hold into two seperate compartments with a small connection airlock.
The bottom of the ship holds the planetary drop pod batteries which allows for 40 one-man pods to be launched to a given target. These also serve as secondary escape pods. Primary escape pods are located at all major ship sections and are constructed for five people per pod. Total emergency escape pod capacity of the ship is double total personnel capacity at 1400 individuals.
