It is the home nation of the Banlongs. Humanoids amphibians who were once humans before their Sending half a millenia ago. After centuries of war between various Kingdoms, the most prosperous Families of the fertile region, one realm toppled all others. The Menia Kindom was formed when a certain Family managed to unify this part of the continent with every other Families they conquered swearing fealty. It was not the first coalition of its kind, many similar unifiers existed in the West, short-lived as they may be. Dissimilarily to the Kings, Dukes and Counts of most other realms, Meina is governed by Great Houses. One amongst them becomes the Royal Family through a vote, their selected Patriarch and his family now leading all internal and external affairs as would a Prime Minister and courtiers.

History
After the brutal unification of the Central Wetlands by the Meina Kingdom, the powers of the monarchs had grown extremely thin through the debts incured in the conflicts. Multiple strong noble families controlled their territories autonomously while the first Sects were slowly rising born. With royalty lacking all forms of legitimacy and power precariously held by Great Families, an accord was signed between the greatest clans to agree on a periodical Stewardship of the realm—a Kindom with an elected family ruling for an agreed period.
