Advent of Treachery
The Advent of Treachery was the first great conflict between the gods. It ended the Age of Tranquility and brought about the beginning of the Age of Audacity.
The Conflict
Prelude
Fricka was the oldest and most powerful of the Titans, and had brought forth all of them from parts of herself. She created Cronus, last of the elder Titans, from the long tail she once had, and assigned him domain over darkness, stillness, balance, and negative space. Thus, while his elders such as Gnotan and Ýmir had many creations to care for and take pride in, Cronus was left with few tangible works of his own. His resentment grew over the millennia, coming to a head when Fricka discovered Gruumsh's newly-created orokh and decreed that all gods must forsake them, since they were created without her permission.
Battlefield
The conflict between the gods and their forces primarily took place on the Astral Plane. However, the power of so many ancient immortals destroyed constellations and misaligned stars to the point where it severely affected other planes. On the Material Plane, floods and solar eclipses became regular occurrences. In the Upper Planes, mortal souls that rested there in the afterlife were dissolved into pure energy with the force of the cosmic disruption. The cosmos themselves eventually broke under the pressure, creating an inverted planescape to mirror the original one.
Outcome
When the cosmos split between the warring factions, Fricka used her greater powers to seal them off from each other, ensuring that no traitor could return to her realms. Cronus was banished to the Lower Plane now known as Hades, Gruumsh was imprisoned in Acheron, and Asmodeus and the other traitorous archangels became the devils and archdevils of the Nine Hells. Though The Fates avoided the conflict,
