Sithean

Sithean is a theocratic monarchy ruled by Mother Goose, a.k.a The Lady of Beasts. The kingdom is rich in natural resources and free of conflict, unlike much of the rest of Once. The population is diverse, including the usual mixture of humans, elves, dwarves, halflings, gnomes, and dragonborn with a scattering of tieflings and some of the more exotic races. What makes Sithean unique is it's large population of Animals. The capitol city is Goosefeather. Other cities of note are Blossom-on-the-Sea and Gale, the two largest port towns on the coast, Winkin-on-Dream on the Dream River that leads south to the coast and north to Rekai, and Sherwood, Sithean's second largest city.

Natural Resources

Sithean is rich in natural resources. From the Slumbering Mountains, residents pull stone and precious metals. The vast forests provide wood and game, the rolling farmlands produce plentiful harvests, and along the coast fishermen haul in large catches. It is one of the richest countries in Once in terms of what the land yields.

History

Following Glinda's reign of terror in the Empireof Oz, Theadora fled east with a following of Animal refugees. They stopped in the vast forested lands south of the Slumbering Mountains, now known as Sithean. Among the Animals, Theadora’s favorite was a fine white Goose with a talent for storytelling, diplomacy, and humor. Theadora blessed the Goose with all the gifts her magic could bestow and bade her care for her beloved Animals.
