Adventurer's Guild Rankings
Tin Plate: A provisionary adventurer’s guild badge. Given to members of the guild that have yet to prove themselves worthy of membership. While some areas actually do hand out tin badges, the majority of lands that the Adventurer’s Guild lie in use the term “Tin Badge” as more of a symbol than the actual thing. Members who hold tin badges are not certified to take any contracts other than their pre-approved Provisionary Contract, which must be certified by an official Guild proprietor.
Copper Plate: The lowest-ranked guild members. Those with the copper badge are either new to adventuring, or unskilled in their work. Certified to take basic contracts, often simple things like unskilled labor or low-urgency investigations. (Levels 1-5)
Bronze Plate: Considered the bulk of the Adventurer’s Guild, bronze plate members are both the most plentiful in number and the most active in the guild. Members who hold this rank can expect to deal with plenty of low-power monsters such as goblins or kobold, as the majority of their quests relate to quelling these monsters. However, there are a plethora of other quests available for bronze adventurers. Bodyguard work, escorts, beast hunting, bandit watch, and semi-skilled labor are all quest options available to a bronze adventurer. (Level 6-9)
Silver Plate: Higher in skill than bronze, the silver plate adventurers have proven themselves capable enough to be considered a cut above the rest. Silver adventurers often take bronze contracts, as they find it an easy way to make money, but are quick to jump at a silver contract when it comes there way. These contracts are either former bronze quests that have been upgraded due to new information (or casualties), or contracts that are important enough to the contractor that they found themselves willing to pay extra for assurance. While the contract variety remains the same, the skill required to complete them exceeds the run-of-the-mill contracts that bronze plates have available to them. (Level 10-12)
Gold Plate: The cream-of-the-crop Gold Plate adventurers have proven themselves far more capable than other adventurers. Gold plates are truly skilled individuals who have conquered challenges time and time again. While a freshly-minted silver plate adventurer might find themselves boastful in some regard, those who achieve gold-plate have no need for such performatives: their title speaks for itself. Gold-plate contracts prove far more difficult than silver: while it’s not unheard of for a silver contract to be upgraded to gold, it’s not a common occurrence, as such would require a woeful amount of misinformation regarding the nature of said contract. Rather, gold-plate contracts are those that speak for a truly challenging task, or a truly desperate contractor. (Level 13-15)
Platinum Plate: A platinum-plate adventurer is a truly rare sight, not only due to the tremendous amount of skill required to achieve such a rank, but because of the mortality rate of those who reach such heights. Platinum adventurers have braved challenges that would retire those lower them. They very rarely take contracts, as even gold would be considered beneath them, but when a platinum contract does come around, it indicates a truly serious matter. Platinum contracts are not available for request from normal contractors, but rather, are put in place by the guild itself, deemed a dire enough task to where such a matter could not be entrusted to even the esteemed gold-plate adventurers. These contracts often pose a threat to entire provinces. Only a handful of contracts have ever been upgraded from Gold to Platinum. (Level 16-17)
Mithril Plate: If Platinum adventurers are rare, then Mithril adventurers are legendary. The few that have achieved such a coveted rank have bested every possible challenge that stood before them, and laughed in its face. A Mithril contract is reserved for threats posed to not just countries, but entire regions. There has only ever been one case of a Platinum contract being upgraded to Mithril. (Level 18-19)
