Zog

The Lord of Death

Zog is an orc necromancer that sought the path of immortality. From working with an exploration guild to possibly gain such knowledge, Zog had managed to stumble across others who had similar ideas. As He delved into the realms of the Icons, He learned that He could easily achieve lichdom through the means of replacing His memories. This is what led to Him becoming the Lord of Death. His mount is recognized as being an Undead Wyvern.

Dogma

Zog is a narcissistic and judgemental orc that often keeps His motives to only Himself. He prefers to enhance and experiment with new ways to tamper with the soul and its interaction with the body. Zog has even expressed that He holds no remorse for the deaths of elves and pacifists. However, He has expressed great satisfaction in His acolytes learning of different necromantic principles and enhancing them to suit any situation. If a follower of Zog manages to avoid death, then Zog tends to wait to provide them a boon.

Gaining Favor or Redemption

To gain favor with Zog, one has to learn how to keep secrets, the lines of life and death and how they can be tied together, and the dangers of tampering with forbidden magics. To fail in these is to lose favor with Zog and redemption is only gained through the blessing of Krakhorn, the Lord of Redemption.

Ranking requirements

Only those who are of a divine ranking of 11 (Exarch) have earned the chance to worship Zog.   When an orc has managed to prove themselves by halting and reversing their travel to Daufushjalut, the Forgotten Battlefield, this is when they can eventually advance in religious promotion. The worship of Zog is one that is earned by experiencing death, not causing it. Gaining insight on Zog's guidance and performing His tasks will earn His favor and eventually you earn His blessing of promotion. This promotion allows one's prayers to be heard from Sojiro, the Lord of Revenge. Religious promotion does not prevent one from praying to their prior deities and thus Zog can still be sought for guidance.
