Chimalli
The Embodiment of Wind
Chimalli is a couatl that acted as the familiar to Lamina, the Embodiment of Ice. He acted as the sole protector of Her during His time on Omedei and His duties extended to being the guiding winds of Omedei. Chimalli had used the winds themselves to deliver messages to other Embodiments, and His journeys had led Him to the Northern Mirror and White Expanse, where He bestowed the lands His and Lamina’s blessing of chilled winds. He is also part of the Alliance of Scales as The Great Dragon of Protection. His mount is recognized as being a Lesser Couatl.
Dogma
Chimalli is a mirthful Embodiment. This mirth is believed to come from naivete and the guiding hand of Lamina. His loyalty to Her was to a fault and He is blissfully unaware of the evils that cannot be undone. Because of this, Chimalli sees the good in everything, and this is what forces Him to always be protective of others. Every creature, to Chimalli, is worth protecting.
Gaining Favor or Redemption
Chimalli’s favor is gained through guardianship and providing comfort. If one were to feel safe within the presence of a Chimalli worshipper, then that worshipper has Chimalli’s limitless thanks. However, to leave one in discomfort or to provide little respite to those less fortunate are grounds for loss of favor. Redemption for Chimalli is done through traversing the frigid mountains of the Northern Mirror in search of His holy site. Once at the temple, the transgressor must don the Bangle of Biting Wind. They must wear this and take a leap of faith into the temple’s crevasse. Any who survive will gain His blessing and the Bangle will reappear in the temple.
Interactions with the World
Chimalli’s contribution to Omedei is the winds that grace it. These winds are guiding forces that sustain Omedei and the people that live upon its bountiful surface. As the planes have granted boons, Chimalli grants the boon from Chellospira, His home plane, unto Omedei. There is tell of a flower that glides on the winds and would wilt upon touching soil. This flower is the Chellospiran Crest. This flower has teardrop petals of pinks and whites while the center of it is of a dark brown coloration. It is considered a sign that Liruk is shifting into Lesei when the Chellospiran Crests are blooming in the wind. These flowers are even considered and aphrodisiac and will often be made into expensive perfumes for those wanting to smell of a brisk breeze entering into an orchard.
