Mylaileen's Kiss (My-LAY-Leen's Kiss)

Mylaileen is the god of love, sex, beauty, and all kinds of pleasure. After the horrifying actions of their twin, Yrdul, Mylaileen took it upon themselves out of love and vengeance to reverse their sibling's toxic actions. This is where the event known as "Mylaileen's Kiss" came into play.

The Context of the Kiss

Mylaileen's conjoined twin, Yrdul, grew tired of not being involved in the act of creation. They physically tore away from Mylaileen, hit them over the head with a mountain and then buried them beneath it, where Mylaileen then laid trapped for over a thousand years.
Yrdul did not stop there. In events known as Yrdul's Strike, they decimated Olrion, unleashing strife, conflict, and a whole host of daemons upon the world. This is what Mylaileen was released to.

The Kiss and its Aftermath

Aggrieved by both the violence done to them as well as that wrought upon the world, Mylaileen decided to act. Inspired by the fact that a physical action could have such transformative effects, they planted a kiss imbued with love upon the earth. Whilst the daemons could not be destroyed, the problems of conflict and strife could be, at least in part. Wars began to be resolved peacefully, the people began to love freely again, and a golden age of art was brought about.

Theological Interpretations of the Kiss

Different peoples have different ideas of what the outcomes of the kiss were as well as their magnitude. Conservative approaches, favoured by humanoids and some dragons, believe that the entirety of the kiss' effect was immediate. This essentially means, in terms of divine interference, this is "as good as it's going to get". More radical interpretations, including from the orcish, other dragons, and the tearaway group known as "the radicalists" disagree. They think that the effects of the kiss are instead still rolling out, seeing as there is still so much evil in the world despite progress being made incrementally. They believe that progress will continue until the world is built upon harmony and peace.
