Session 10: The Black Burrow

The crew made their way into the mine. They encountered a troll in the first room and during the fight Thark popped out of his tankard. The group easily killed the troll after Zalista stunned it with a Stunning Strike. Arlox used fire to score the killing blow and prevent regeneration.   They proceeded cautiously through the ground level, investigating but not disturbing the elevator shaft. They proceeded down to the Upper Mine where they explored the level. They didn't seem to find much beyond some writing in Undercommon indicating the way to the surface. As they moved to go down to the next level they were attacked by two swarms of Cranium Rats who managed to charm Thark but otherwise were ineffective.   The party continued to the Lower Mine, detecting and sidestepping a trap along the way. Unbeknownst to the party, a ghost tried to possess Thark but he managed to resist its effects. Proceeding down the western tunnel they were then ambushed by two ghosts, and Laz and Arlox failed their saves and found themselves Frightened.
