Black Burrow Mine
Located to the north and east of Half-Hill at the base of a mountain range, this abandoned mine is well known to locals as the place from which "horrors" emerged. In truth, these horrors were merely dangerous denizens of the Underdark who made their way to the surface through a hole that had been punched through to the upper reaches of the Underdark by unwitting excavators of the mine.
Though the miners attempted to collapse the tunnel and prevent any incursions to the surface their efforts were ultimately fruitless and the mine had to be abandoned.
