Ïlðúš

Ïlðúš was the leader of the tribe of Ïlðúš-Ýïr, which also served as the Úŋïan-appointed interim government of the Khólteð Family during the Crisis of 24982 AYM. After the Crisis, Ïlðúš and his namesake tribe were bestowed with an extensive swath of land in the Tayzem Desert, and served as guards for the Familial government during the Khólteðian Wars before the tribe's defeat and dissolution in 24978 AYM. Following his defeat, Ïlðúš would go on the run for a short duration before being killed.

Biography

Ïlðúš was born around the year 25060 AYM, with typical estimates ranging between 25066 and 25058 AYM. Records during the Crisis and the Khólteðtian Wars indicate that he was at that time someone who was already significantly aged (around 70-80 years old) compared to the more typical ages of 30-50 years.

Curiously, Ïlðúš's name is not included in the familial records, or Žötó-Ïdhatón, especially given the time when he was born. Instead, most historians now believe that, during the Crisis and/or the Khólteðtian Wars, the popularity surrounding Ïlðúš was so low as to elicit the vandalization and crossing-out of his name.

The time of Ïlðúš's birth was the middle of the very tumultuous Ýmor-Šapariž period, which had already seen a series of natural disasters from 25100 to 25080 AYM which coincided with the rise of the family-specific Žötó-Žimiara from 25100 to 25045 AYM. These events, and the comparative inability of the central government to assist in these matters, drew all families away from them and towards an ideology that cemented the family unit as the most important authority. The Khólteðt Family in general would become highly independent in all but name, as exemplified by them giving their Head total authority in issuing decrees and not attending the regular meetings of the Alaghúl-Garhifiŋ, but they remained fiercely tied to the laws as established by the tribal government.

Ïlðúš was born into this version of the Khólteð Family, and quickly became devoted to it. It is likely that he was born into a high-class family, or at least grew up in a location that was frequented by the Heads of the Family, as he would have had regular contact with the Head during a large portion of his life. These interactions would have made his later role during the Crisis more reasonable.
