Physical Description
Body Features
Katsuo is from an amphibious species and as such has scale-like skin and webbed feet & toes. His body is tall, well over 8 feet, but also lean and muscular. He can withstand extreme water pressures leading his body to be like that of stone.
Facial Features
Katsuo's face, or the majority of it, is similar to that of a squid, with dozens of long tentacles extending from just under his nose. Two large water pacs are attached to his neck on either side. He can breathe just fine above or underwater but in his older age, it is nice to have a source of freshwater from his homeworld.
Special abilities
The Cthulhu Curse
Katsuo was chosen as the host for the Cthulhu Familiar which protected his world and people for countless ages. Cthulhu is a very powerful and unique Familiar as it can move freely between hosts and chooses multiple over time.
- Eldritch Energy -- Different from Magical Energy, this energy is supplied by Cthulhu's own nigh-bottomless pool of energy. It does not function the same as normal Magic and in some cases can outright overpower it. However, it takes years of practice to even become proficient with and to this date, none have ever mastered Cthulhu.
- True Form Cthulhu -- This power allows Katsuo to transform into a great squid-like monster, the stuff of nightmares. This form burns through most of Katsuo's Magical Energy but is sure to end almost any fight as this body can survive in the vacuum of space and can be treated as a husk after Katsuo leaves it.

Personal history
Umiyajuu D. Katsuo was born on Krellus, to Umiyajuu Junpei. Their world was ravaged by civil unrest, rampant pirates, and became the battleground for many smaller kingdoms. It was hell and Katsuo had to grow up in it, eventually even forced to watch as his father was killed. Katsuo fell into the darkest pit of his life until his world was given membership into the United Stellar Commonwealth, an intergalactic government that brought order, peace, and stability to his world.
Education
Katsuo attended the El Kestis Academy in the Commonwealth which specialized in training officers for the Commonwealth Navy Corps (CNC). Katsuo graduated at the bottom of his class and was placed on the 115th Division. His master was a drunken bomber pilot, Kaleb Skyheart, who was a bitch and a half to deal with, but he knew what he was doing in the cockpit so the Commonwealth Command put up with him. It was under Skyheart's command that Katsuo flew in as a Starfighter, charged with protecting the Bomber Squads, which taught him to value the lives of his men over the mission. While other fighters broke off to deal with enemy ships, Katsuo never left his squad's side, ushering them to and from the drop zone.
Employment
Over time, Katsuo rose through the Commonwealth Navy ranks, until he was renowned as a Vice-Admiral, famed for his high victory streak and valuing the lives of his men before the mission. However, after the Sin'Karrian Incident, he became the Fleet Admiral of the Commonwealth Navy and a highly respected and feared member of the Commonwealth in general. He was something of a legend, pirates who heard his name during a battle fled, rather than face him.
Accomplishments & Achievements
The Sin'Karr Prime War
On planet Sin'Karr, the Commonwealth was in the process of wiping out a small species of toxic-like creatures, to prepare the world for colonization. It was spearheaded by previous Fleet Admiral Yohan Jibly. Katsuo was only an Admiral at the time and carried out his orders without question until he discovered a dark sin; Commonwealth Command had lied about the nature of the mission.
The Sin'Karrians were, in fact, intelligent people with a culture and language, and ideas. Due to their unique biology, they had high immunity to toxins and poisons, something the Commonwealth aimed to take for themselves. They injected a brian neuronite into the atmosphere to drive the people feral and planned to harvest their bodies and planet.
Katsuo was outraged and brought his investigation to Fleet Admiral Jibly who was already aware of this, they are tools of the Commonwealth, their's is not to ask why, their's is to do or die. Katsuo rejected this, a good soldier fights for his nation but he keeps his nation in check as well. Katsuo and his men staged a rebellion on Sin'Karr and waged a seven-week battle against the remaining Commonwealth fleet.
Katsuo won this battle through his superior tactics and with devolution and loyalty from his men. This battle waged on for two more cycles until Katsuo stood on Praktis, Commonwealth Command world where he stood shoulder to shoulder with a lowly Army commander, Súgji Åkerman. Katsuo and Súgji's actions led to a new era of reform in the Commonwealth Command and placed Katsuo as the new and current Fleet Admiral.

Katsuo's world was ravaged by lawlessness and hopelessness, he was in the pit of despair until the Commonwealth brought order, peace, and justice to his world. This changed Katsuo's life, and what led him down the path of Justice, not glory. He wanted to be a symbol for others to look to and aspire to be, even if he himself could not always live up to his own standards. But that's part of the idea, right? The idea of creating an impossible stand is not to live up to it but to aspire to be as close as you can to it.
Wealth & Financial state
Any funds Katsuo received he usually poured back into his homeworld Krellus which was still economically poor, which caused the people to suffer much. After his death, Krellus had his remaining funds returned to the people of Krellus, with the hope they would build better futures for their families.
