Bastion
Bastion is a city state in the southeastern area of the Badlands, built and governed by the self-proclaimed god Draskgraggon the Golden Dragon. Surrounded by a sandstorm, and walls as high as they are thick, this is considered a bastion against Calcian pressure and hatred. Established by a self-proclaimed god of Love, and also to a lesser extent, in smaller print, of Order and Protection, gathering support from various tribes to build a city for them all. The main alliance of tribes is known as the Council Under the King, made up of the leaders of those other tribes. Despite peace being enforced via force of arms and new promises, there can be sporadic strain between different members of the council.
The city was designed to be defended, walls as high as they are thick, with massive gates to control the flow of traffic. Beyond that, there is a swirling sandstorm that is baked into the ground via glyphs, which can be summoned should the need arise. On the walls are catapults and trebuchets, and in the city are many who pledge their weapons to Bastion, and it's defense.
Structure
Bastion is ruled by one man, advised by a council of prominent individuals from the city that came from the tribes that made up the first alliance to create Bastion.
Culture
The culture is a mishmash of cultures from the surrounding land, making Bastion a melting pot of peoples. As long as traditions are not harmful to others, all cultures are welcome, and not to be tampered with.

History
Bastion was founded in 3554, after through coercion and strength of arms Draskgraggon made peace in the area he would build his city. The amiable tribal leaders were offered a place on the Council, with the promise that their concerns would be heeded. Until the current date every deed has been done to build up the city and quell it's enemies' attempts to undermine it.
