Atlantia
Demographics
Atlantians are largely merfolk, but a few Clawfane and Sharkhaan live there as well. The floating city above has a majority of Humans and Dymian Dwarves and Gnomes.
Government
Atlantia, being too big to be run by the merfolk's typical democratic system, instead is split up into various wards, each of which elects their own chief, which meets in a city council to make decisions regarding the city and its people. Atlantia has a trained city guard, which is run by a captain chosen via city-wide election.
Defences
Atlantia has a highly trained group of merfolk guards defending it, and in addition, has ballistae around the city's edges to defend against attacks from aquatic ships. They don't tend to worry about attacks from surface dwellers, who tend to be unable to survive down here without a lot of magic and preparation, which would be impossible to do on a large scale.
Industry & Trade
Atlantians have access to fantastic aquaculture soil on the outskirts of the city, and have all kinds of skilled hunters living in the area as well. They export mainly food, but also sell other goods made from their underwater resources that land dwellers have difficulty getting ahold of, such as pearl jewelry.
Infrastructure
Atlantia is a sunken city, with a wide glass tube that leads up to the center of a floating port above the city. The port is, in and of itself, almost like a second city, and has a seperate culture of land-dwellers that mingle with the Atlantians and trade surface-dwelling delicacies with them.
