Summary
According to Eisenhower, The Desolation lasted just under a year, during which time trillions perished. Despite their technological mastery and military might, ancient humanity could not stop or even slow their extinction. Eisenhower also states he witnessed the Desolation's arrival in his home system of Proxima, and knows Earth befell the same fate.

As records from the time are scarce, the details of the Desolation have been lost to the millenia. The only solidly known details are that the event transpired blindingly fast
