Garven

Garven is a medium sized planetoid in Aventa's inner asteroid belt. It serves as the mining hub of the Aventa system.

Geography

Garven is the largest planetoid in Aventa's inner asteroid belt. Despite this, it is too small to support a thick atmosphere or a lasting magnetic field. Blasted by Aventa's solar radiation, the landscape is a barren grey, with craters scatteres across the. wasteland. Also, at only 0.3g, long term settlements are required to use singularity generators to bolster gravity.

Climate

Because of its thin atmosphere, Garven's surface temperature is fairly hot during the day, but frigid at night. This cycle is stable year-round, as the planetoid has a nearly circular orbit around Aventa and has almost no axial tilt.

Natural Resources

Garven would simply be another insignificant rock were it not for its overabundance of valuable minerals. Gold, silver, titanium, uranium, and other rare metals are found throughout the planetoid. Mega refineries mass produce electronic components, fuel, and advanced alloys. Extraction plants on nearby asteroids also contribute to production, as mined resources are flung into orbit of Garven using mass drivers. Collection stations in orbit dispatch drones to gather stray minerals, where they are sorted and sent down to Garven for processing.
