Recognition Guild
Recon. Secure. Connect. There ain't no higher honor amongst the Sacra Monarchia's military than being part of the Recognition Guild, the highest ranking expeditioner group in all of Mystralis, composed of powerful living beings of all backgrounds with the drive to discover the secrets of the universe, with the nationalism required to realize that the Monarchy goes first, and with the selfless heart to understand that they are just part of the process, part of a bigger, brighter plan that will push society forward, remembering their sacrifice forevermore, or being praised as a prince during their eternal life.
Composition
Manpower
The Recognition Guild tries to recruit all students from the many schools of elementalism and art spread accross the South, specifically from the EMAcademy where they get most of their elite staff.
A common Guild military expedition is composed of 30 living beings with different capacities, capabilities, and combat roles, mostly Elemedici of different professiones accompanied by some Artifexis used as cannon fodder, and the Expedition Commander who leads the expedition forward towards their designated objective. Their objective are normally designated danger zones where key information or technology can be gathered to further the Monarcy's goals, be it a new spell, new history, new weapons, new sources of power, or new alternatives to already existing keys.
ALL OF THE RECOGNITION GUILD'S FINDINGS ARE TO BE KEPT TOP SECRET, IF ANYONE EVEN DARES TO EXPOSE ONE OUNCE OF CONFIDENTIAL INFO TO THE PUBLIC, THEY AND THEIR ENTIRE FAMILY WILL BE EXECUTED AND PURGED FROM THE RECORD.

Equipment
Guild expeditions solely depend on magic to cover all their arising needs. Hungry? Create artificial food. In danger? Blow up the enemy to smithereens. Need to travel faster? Boost speed or use teleportation circles to get farther. Anything and everything is resolved through magic, and those who cannot wield them, like Artifexis or... Thaumaturgists, are better kept in the front ranks following the absolute orders of their Expedition Commander.
Thaumaturges where banned from the Monarchy's ranks long ago, and their ways of Torrite were removed from the public academic programme, so the expeditions don't use torrite anymore to fight magical beings or absorb elemental residue for research, a fact that some have been vocal about, calling it "lost potential".

Structure
Out of the 30 beings that compose each expedition, roles are divided amongst the following units:
- Expedition Commander: unequivocal leader of the expedition, whose orders are final.
- Documenting Units: tasked with writing the expedition's logs, spellbooks, and findings to return written proof of their work to base, or to warn the expeditions who come after against taking different courses of action. These are the most important members of the formation, because information is power, they must be protected at all costs, and their mouths must be wide shut, so critical information doesn't get leaked.
- Recon Units: tasked with taking the burden of investigating places before the rest of the expedition gets there, no matter how dangerous it may be, and no matter if their lifes are at risk. Normally taken by quick Artifexis or riders.
- Battle Units: trained as if their lives don't matter, these beings are taught to do everything in their power to make the Expeditioners survive and return the findings home. They tackle danger, sacrifice resources, and sacrifice themselves for the security of the expedition. If a Battle Unit returns home with no information, no documentation, and little other units of the expedition, they will be executed.
- Forager Units: the lowest rank of the Expedition, forager units are the living storages of the expedition, tasked with holding all the food, equipment, spells, and trinkets found during the expedition, keeping the other units light. Even though they are the lowest rank, they must be protected at all costs, and are trained to run if danger is too heavy. Normally composed of Artifexis with little more to do than being living chests.
Tactics
The Recognition Guild are trained with three words echoing in their heads at all times: Recon, Secure, Connect, or RSC. Whenever they encounter a location of interest, they first do Recon and put their lives at risk to try and find any and all danger that might plague this area. They later Secure the location by doing anything in their power to purge all dangerous life guarding the objectives, no matter how defenseless they may seem, the Expedition cannot take any chances, and will always exterminate whomever even represents a sliver of danger. Finally, they Connect, they setup camp, they get researching, they analize, they take academic risks, they document, they report, and must always try to send at least one Documenter home, since if they don't recoup any valuable information, the expedition will be considered a waste, and the Expedition Commander executed, if alive in the first place, alongs with their entire family, so their bloodlines don't plague our ranks once more.
Training
As one can infer, the Recognition Expeditioners are trained as selfless individuals who live, breath, and die by the Monarchy's authority, and the King's grace, with the guarantee that when they finally retire, they are secured citizenship of the city of Yhernier, the Sacred Capital, where they may expend the rest of their lives quenching every desire, trying to achieve inmortality, praying to the Authority, working on government public facilities, and bathing themselves in rays of gold.
The Recognition Guild is the highest ranking amongst the expedition guilds, but they are not the only ones that do Reconnaisance, there are also the Mechadisruptors, the Crimson Expeditioners, the ################, and the disbanded War Magic Batallion.

History
Until now, 3 expeditions have been sent to do Recon work, 2 of them have come back home, 1 was caught in the middle of a cataclysm performed by the most wanted criminals of the current century.
- Expedition Fall, year 34 PSM: after the Great Fall which brough the curse of the Minibiomes to the Central Plains of Mystralis, the Recognition Guild was founded, originally as a military formation sent to familiarize themselves with everything the Monasteriums had to offer, Ki, Life, Terrain, and Secrets. This expedition was very successful, they gained passage to almost every minibiome and were able to record the articles we now have of each one, its because of them we have the information we treasure. Some expeditioners, of course, died, horribly, in the process, transformed by the Crimson Coast, sucked in by the Whirl of Valour, psychically destroyed by the Aberrant Isles, or murdered in Darkopolis. No matter what, these heroes are honored in the Golden Citadel, their names inmortalized in walls, because of their work, we who come after have learned too much about our rising enemies. The Expedition Commander of Expedition Fall was Lucius Fermin, the Liberator, the Patron of Patrons, the All-Father.
- Expedition of Gold, year 38 PSM: tasked with finding Gorohkin ruins, documents, and technology that could help in the war against the Monks. Their findings are still confidential and in intensive testing at their designated location, until the state terrorists stroke... The base of operations for the Expedition of Gold was attacked by the criminal group known as Deolhyne, led by Ciro Kaleth, the Architect, who destroyed Heaven and let loose a disease that may threaten the stability of the known world. Our expeditioners, our heroes, have not come back as of yet.
- Expedition Torrent, year 42 PSM: originally, they were tasked with finding relics of interest deep in the North in the search of key artifacts for Monarchy research, but now, since year 55 PSM, this expedition of heroes were sent to find the journals of the Expedition of Gold and to further their research, when one falls, we continue, and are currently performing key research where the others left off, and are also avenging the fallen expeditioners by searching the criminals who did this, and trying to find a resolution to the conflict they have started.
