Barony of Carham
Carham is the only town in Habuda where the Angshire culture is dominant. The region around Carham is effectively and exclave of the Earldom of Al Litaha surrounded by Atonia. This cultural disconnect causes problems.
The town is property of the Baron of Carham, a Besketian noble from the north that was appointed by Habunda to rule the area.
Demographics
About 2/3s of the population is Angshirian, 1/4 is Eurabic, and the remainder are Besket and Kauuvattian. The Angshiruans are clearly second class citizens. Many of the Angshirians have either left the area of married into Eurabic families.
Government
The town is governed directly by the Baron of Carham.
Defences
The town is a way for Habuda to have a stronghold within Atonia, a place from which Habuda could easily punch through the middle of Atonia
Industry & Trade
This is not a very rich area, which is part of the reason Atonia was willing to give it up. The Barony of Carham
Infrastructure
A very strong hilltop fortress
Guilds and Factions
Formal guilds are not allowed. The Guilds in Raar are the guild representatives in Carham.
History
Carham was once part of Atonia as was the Aljedah county. The settlement of the war required the surrender of these areas to Habuda.
