Whisper is a falcon and the familiar of the reigning monarch of the Ossalimarian Empire. They have been a part of the family since the reign of Raynar Ossalimar and seemingly has not aged in this time. They typically remain in the throne room of Castle Enterra, however, some have claimed to see the bird hunting and flying free in the dark of the night.

Description

Whisper resembles a large Tuldran Falcon, which are an extinct species who were often called Dire falcons. Whisper is lined with thick brown feathers that seem to fade to red at the tip. They have a wickedly curved beak that is a deep midnight black and seems to emanate an aura of fear to those around it. Some say that the beak is made of a dark steel, others that Whisper is constantly on fire. Each tale seemingly different from each person that sees them. Those who have sat in the Throne Room of Castle Enterra or alongside the monarch, finds their minds filled with a strange and dark whispering that appears almost in the corner of the room. Out of sight and mind, but still, present in many ways. Some believe this is where the name Whisper came from.

History

Much of the known history of Whisper is unknown. According to writings, he was first noted as being near the Ossalimar Royal Family as of 412 AR, not long after the first Imperial Coronation. Raynar Ossalimar was the first to proclaim that Whisper was a familiar tied to the Ossalimar family, a symbol of the power of the Ossalimarian Empire and the might that it possesses. Upon the Imperial Coronation of each member of the Ossalimar Family, it is said that Whisper bowed its head to each new ruler as they returned to Castle Enterra. This was true in 704 AR when Leivan Ossalimar took the throne as a new monarch. As he entered Castle Enterra, he found Whisper waiting for him in the throne room. As he approached the throne, Whisper bowed and seemingly spoke directly to Leivan.
