Personal history
Barbatos was one of the first demigods to be born and the first of the Night God Zero. At some unknown point in his mortal life, Barb allowed the darkness to take root within him. He no longer suppressed it, but lived it consciously, without submitting to it. Null saw this as a sign of balance, which true night beings understand: light and darkness exist together. For this reason, Null granted his son immortality and elevated him to the position of the God of Bats. However, over the years, power went to Barb's head before he eventually broke away and gave himself the title of the Dark Lord and ushered in the age of the same name.
