Tawet

Ecosystem

Tawet is a largely terrestrial world, its surface water little more than inland seas connected by large rivers in deep canyons. Its largest inland sea is not much larger than the Mediterranean was on Earth, and much of the water that was on the surface is now beneath it. Its climate is wildly variable, varying from temperate to warm drastically. Old mountains covered in thick rainforests often drapped in fog due to the intense humidity. Below those layers of mountains is mostly arid rock.

Fauna & Flora

Coffee, teas, spices, olives, and grapes are grown in great quantities in the temperate and tropical zones around the inland seas. All of the flora and fauna are native to Tawet, or genetically adapted from Earth flora and fauna to be distinct from those hereditary ancestors.

Natural Resources

In addition to the agricultural land resources, Tawet is filled with raw materials useful in the manufacture of Spike Drives, which have been the primary exploitation since the establishment of the colony on the planet.
