Guilds and Factions
Home of the Folk in Black, former home of the Questionably Blessed
History
A small agricultural town since the time of the independent gnomish Kingdom of Oustra. It grew ever more important until it became a regional government center and then a host of adventurer's. The Questionably Blessed were started here and it drew a large following of adventurer's afterward. The Meepoite faith also increased activity as Oakhearst became a stop for pilgrims to the Sunless Citadel. Around a year ago, a wave of refugees from Nowhere and other places on the Heliopian borders settled in Oakhearst where they are trying to integrate.
Points of interest
- Militia Hall: A small armory where the militia trains and meets. Can be improved for 400gp (Adds 2dp to Oakhearst).
- Mayor's Hall: The residence of the elected mayor and the meeting place of the local council.
- Temple of Mokocz: A large temple to the mother earth goddess Mokocz, attended by Dem Corki. Lease can be bought for 400gp (free curse removal, +5gp per day).
- Folk in Black HQ: A repurposed guild hall which now houses the Folk in Black adventuring group.
- General Store: A simple shop selling pawned goods and general goods. Lease can be bought for 300gp (1 free treasure per month, +2gp per day).
- Blacksmith: A small blacksmith's shop selling simple goods and weapons. Lease can be bought for 300gp (1 free weapon per month, +3gp for day).
- Jail: A simple jailhouse that is mostly used for storage. It houses the local sheriff. Lease can be bought for 300gp (Can be converted into a shop or used for other things).
- Well & Square: The public well and market square.
- Gilded Shroom: A large brother-inn that is famous for its drinks, companionship and worker's union that protects its employees. Is run by a Kobold named Hox who also owns the Kolaid factory. Can be bought for 1500gp (Rumor mill, +3gp per day).
- Train Station: A municipal train station that acts as a mass travel hub.
- Temple of Meepo: A large church dedicated to Meepo attended by the Kobold priest, Leeno.
- Kolaid Factory: A large brewery and alchemical workshop that produces minor healing potions called Kolaid. Can be bought for 3000gp (1 free Kolaid per day, +15gp per day).
Tourism
A pilgrimage stop for Meepoites and a tourist site for adventurers.
Architecture
Oustran which translates to Tudor style.
Natural Resources
A heavy agricultural base and market along with tourism income.
