In his younger days, during his sports career, Trishul was a very fit man, often going to the gym or doing some type of training every day, However, now that he's coming up on 70 years old, his body has slowed down, and his physical state has declined.

Personal history

Trishul Ramdas Swadag was born on June 15, 1953 to Ramdas and Saraswati Swadag. Despite his father being named Ramdas, the Swadag family were Zoroastrians, with Trishul's great-grandfather, Jahaangir Swadag, converting in 1911. Swadag was born in Yazhd, and spent most of his childhood and adolescence there. In 1970, Swadag made his debut for Yazhd, in a test match again Nishapur. Only 5 years later, Trishul made his national debut, as an opening Wicketkeeper-Batsman, taking the captaincy in 1972 and 1973 in ODIs and Tests respectively, all before the age of 30. From then on, Swadag would play until 1990, when he retired in a Test against India, scoring his 41st Century in the process. He held the record for most centuries until 1999, when Sachin Tendulkar broke his record. Since then, he enjoyed a 6 year stint as the Head Coach of the Nishari Men's Team from 2004-2010, in which he guided the men's team to the trophy in the 2007 ODI World Cup. He also oversaw the first T20 matches and was the coach of his own son, Svatva Swadag. Since retiring in 2010, he has joined the unofficial cricket pundits, but has not taken up an official job.

Swadag's highest score was 315 (500), a score he got against the deadly West Indian Bowling attack in 1979.

Family Ties

Trishul is second cousins with the Shah Brothers, Dhanraj and Jahaangir, as well as an uncle of the current Nishari Cricketer and former captain, Agna Sinha. His son, Svatva Swadag, also had a career in cricket, although it was much shorter than his own. Additionally, he has two daughters, named Nirmala and Astha, who both married Gujarati Men. Swadag has 7 children, with 3 from Nirmala, 2 from Svatva, and 2 from Astha.

Religious Views

While Trishul's family was historically Hindu, having come from a family that migrated from modern-day Sindh to Yazhd in the 1700's, the family converted to Zoroastrianism in the early 20th century, with the modern-day Swadags adhering to the religion.
