Personal history
Aashna Yadav was born on June 15th, 1990 in the villages surrounding the city of Jodhpur. The 4th out of 5 siblings, Aashna usually had things handed to her on a silver platter, whether they be from her parents or her elder siblings, the eldest of which was 10 years her senior. Her career in cricket actually started when she mentioned her desire to play offhand at the age of 8. The next day, her family was driving to take her to her first lesson, and she immediately fell in love with the game. Quickly rising through the ranks, Aashna started playing for the official Rajastan provincial side at the age of 16, while still in her senior year of high school. After graduating, she continued to play for Rajastan, both on the U-19 and official teams. In January of 2011, at the age of 20, Yadav made her national debut, playing in a T20I against Bangladesh. Since then she has been one of Nisha's greatest forces and has the record for most centuries for an individual who has never captained the national team, at 38.

Many rumors have been made about Aashna's sexuality, as she is in her early 30's and still not married, although Yadav remains very secret about her private life.

Batting with the legendary Maya Paracha, Yadav scored 100* (56), helping her team establish a very competitive total. Since then, Yadav has scored 38 centuries, the 3rd highest in the Women's national team, and her highest score was 190 (130), during an ODI against New Zealand in 2015.
Yadav also plays as the 2nd choice wicketkeeper in the ODI and Test formats behind Soni Ohastia, and is the primary wicketkeeper in T20Is.
