Church Of Peyn
The Church of Peyn is a faith of darkness and sorrow. All who takes on the black ropes and the long double tailed whips, bind themselves for endless torture and an almost certain early demise. For they believe in one embodiment of all that isn't righteous "Miss Peyn" the daughter of night, whos face must not be shown. Founded by a few students from the Academy Of Lua in Ahl'Castelle, well taught in the will of the divine, who yet never understood the Chosen Ones lack of fear for the unknown.
While the chosen think that only the lady of light "Aed'Lua" let some of her essence remain during "The Renewal". The Acolytes of Peyn believe that Also Lua's sister "Aed'Nadu" melted her goodlihood into a figure, creating just one deity to watch over the passing of men and the horrors of night. They also suspect that the absence of worshippers to the darkness, has displeased Nadu for too long and one day, maybe soon she will let the abyssal beings imprisoned within herself, cast their wrath upon the realms once again.
And so the followers Torment them selves and others in the believe that it will lighten the burden when the waves of pain comes crashing in. Their most famous acts of torture, is with their two tailed whip, ripping all hair out their bodies and swallowing living charcoal. The most devoted followers, called the harpies of pain are believed to be on their third cycle of service to Miss Peyn. It is said that the harpies gets the flesh of their backs cut open vertically to form wings. Then must rip out their own tongue and dye a ribbon with the blood, they wear this over their shoulders, to show that they have no fear for you, or your gods..
Afterlife
When death comes to an acolyte, their bodies will be burned to ashes and their souls will be reincarnated over and over again, coming back stronger and more fearless every time. The cycle repeats until Miss Peyn Deems them worthy of ascending to her colorless castle, for an eternity of senselessness.
Churches
Being a fairly small faith, the church does not own land, but has with their violence and horrible traditions over time made one of Oldstone's "Temples Of All Faces" their very own, scaring away all who dares to enter.
