Oldstone

Deep within the "Woods Of The Free Spirits" in the north-earstern most tip of the wetlands, a Remote city, lies at the feet of a great mountain range, with vast opportunity's for all who wanders inside the gates. Oldstone Being the Oldest recorded and one of the largest cities, is surprisingly not what has made it the name it is. For behind the great wall lies a free nation, open for all cultures and religion's to spread and prosper as they so desire. Established by the first men to return from Val'Jerahs enslavement makes this great sanctuary of faith more than 3000 years old. Though much has changed from the founders original vision, one thing remains as intended, "Democracy" or somewhat at least. For the fate of Oldstones inhabitants is decided by the people, or more so the religious people. Only those who serve one of the dozens recognized ideologies, roaming Oldstones "Temple's Of All Faces", has a say in the election of the "Overseer". Who Alongside a representative of each religion rules in stead of their gods.

The Man Of All Faces

All throughout Oldstone's narrow streets, many different statues of the same male figure can be found. The man has hundreds of variations, all
from a hooded man to an angel with a trident in his hand, made as representations of all the faiths populating the city.
The Man Of All Faces is said to watch over the minds of those who step inside his domain, protecting them from corruption and forced indoctrination, instead guiding them towards their rightful belief. Though "He" is not fully worshipped by any devout followers, many people with no clear path, prays for guidance at the feet of the original statue overlooking the city, which is believed to be older than Oldstone itself.

Temple Of All Faces

To house all the different ideologies, a hundred temples were build among the houses and churches throughout the city. All open for those who might not have the means to house their belief in a church of its own. The temples are home to all the smaller and more insignificant faiths, while the major ones have massive churches, some even entire districts devoted to their way of life. By giving the smaller religions a home and security to worship what ever they so desire, Oldstone has become one of the safest places in all of Nilaris. Almost completely eliminating murder and theft, furthermore has the taxes, the temples pay, made it possible to distribute the wealth to mostly kill all hunger as well.
