It's A Long Way To The Top If You Want To Rock & Roll pt.9

What Went Down

• The team heads up to North Watson for one of the unofficial street races that Bennie Phitz organizes. The starting line is half-way along Cattle Drive. The big draws for this race are the Dragula Racers, a small Raffen Shiv go-gang that bio-sculpt themselves to look like classic Hollywood monsters. Wolfman races a tricked-out motorcycle that has been heavily tuned by Torque (a hulking 6' 8" Frankenstein's monster). Rina Kade is a junior logistics analyst for PetroChem, her corp has put some money into her Villefort Alvarado. Marko Velez is a local mechanic who has personally modified a Thorton Colby with an oversized engine block.
• Cattle Drive has a few tight turns before becoming Pacifica Drive. Rina navigated the corners best, Marko slowed up too much and lost the most ground. Surprisingly, Wolfman nearly crashed out. Sébastien's timely use of the emergency brake kept Io in the race.
• The Pacifica Drive straight-away let Io engage the Thunder-X's NOS and it was all over for the other racers as she pulled a commanding lead. Even an unexpected lane blockage by a large truck did little to deter anyone.
• The finish line crowd along Shipyard Way is a motley collection of Watson citizenry. Some Street Queens gang members, even a Maelstrom borg, are there to witness Io's upset win over Wolfman. Wolfman wants a rematch and Bennie promises longer races with money prizes.

Notable Events

• Those dice rolls...seriously... :-)
