The Court of Themis

The Court of Themis is located within the capital city of Thraldur, though it is not quite as grand as the rest of the temples that can be found in the temple district. The Court opted for a quieter location with more of a 'barebones' building.

Culture

At the core of this temple, there is justice. The Court believe that it is the responsibility of those in power to maintain justice, both civil and divine. Meaning they should show how upstanding members of the kingdom should behave, and remind the citizens to show respect to the divines.
The divine laws are as follows; precepts of piety, rules of hospitality, good governance, conduct of assembly and pious offerings to the gods. In summary, show reverence to the gods, hosts must honour their guests, the governing system must be just, give offerings to the gods. Although, as of late their belief in good governance has been their focus.

Public Agenda

The Court are the voice of the people. Being a temple of divine justice, they seek to maintain order and strive for truth, and they expect nothing less of those of a high public standing. As of recent, the Court has seen a great many atrocities befalling notable buildings that could be considered the cornerstones of the community within the Human Kingdom of Sordun. They believe that due to recent events, since they are followers of the goddess of the divine justice they should be the upholders of the law within Sordun. And so, they will take it upon themselves to obtain that power by any righteous means.

Assets

The Court have established a temple in each major city within Sordun; Thraldur, Gabel, Porthladd, and Camter. Due to their standing in the city of Thraldur and Gabel, they have a sizable army of troops from the city guards along with command of the barracks and fortifications. A surplus of ships within Gabel, along with cannons.
