Rain Wood City
Rain Wood City is a city in central Virarona. It is known for its historical significance, as it has some of the oldest buildings still standing in the country. It is also home to radio personality Jack Pawly and his popular children's show Jack's World.
Important Locations
VRWC Radio Station
Welcome back to Jack's World. I'm your host, Insomniac Jack, and today, we're having a sleepover!
Though the city's radio station was made nationally famous by children's radio host Jack Pawly, it is actually a historic building, as it is Virarona's oldest still-running station. Pawly actually discussed much of the station's history in the 1953 episode of Jack's World titled "Sleepover" in which his daughter visited him to tour the station. The station is located in the business district and does offer tours, but they must be scheduled in advance.
Rain Wood Temple
Rain Wood Temple is an Een temple from before the days of the Southern Conflict. After much of it was damaged in a 1902 earthquake, it was rebuilt to resemble the original as much as possible. Certain areas, such as the garden, which survived the earthquake, date to its original construction. These areas are easily located due to the color of the stone. The temple is located in the historic district and remains one of the city's most popular tourist attractions. It is closed on Autun, for services.
Mayor's Mansion
That old mansion is much better off where it is. What would I do with it? I like living where I can separate business and pleasure.
Depsite it's name the Mayor's Mansion is not where the mayor lives. Once belonging to the mayor of Rain Wood City, parts of the mansion were also damaged in the 1902 earthquake. It was late rebuilt, but rather than the mayor moving back it, it was donated to the city and converted into affordable housing. Though tourists to the historic district can still take pictures of the outside, the inside is only welcome to tennants and their guests. The current mayor lives in one of the city's residential areas, at an undisclosed address.

Important Districts
We took the bus to the wrong stop and ended up in the business district. But we were able to schedule a tour at Jack Pawly's radio station!
Business District
The business district is located in the southern part of the city, and continues to expand south. Locals do business here every day, though most of it is of little interest to tourists.
Historic District
The historic district, just north of the business district, is home to many of Virarona's older buildings. Both tourists and locals are known to mingle here, and the local schools often take students on field trips to nearby historical sites.

I kind of love that the mayor's mansion got converted into affordable housing. That's a nice touch. The temple sounds interesting too.
