Pandora, Snake

Dora Summers-Valkan (a.k.a. Snake)

As a Babysitter

Pan was Fio's best friend. She worked with her at the Museum and enjoyed picking through the artifacts that the field teams brought in. She and Fio often went out for drinks or to social events where Pan would play wingman (for better or for worse) for Fio. She's sharp and clever, one of the few who will offer Fio a friendly challenge. She's also quite adept at using magic.

As Herself

Dora biting, bitter, and a bit jaded. She's fairly smart, but has an abrasive personality that tends to put other people off. She doesn't seem to trust easily, but isn't bold enough to push back if she can find a way to weasel into or out of situations. Still, behind her sarcasm she seems honest enough (even if that honesty is a bit brutal).

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Average, delicate, but physically fit.

Body Features

Instead of traditional ears, Dora has a small set of wings with black and grey feathers where her ears should be. These wings are capable of movement, even if they do not make her capable of flight.

A silvery halo of shimmery light rests around her head like a reverse visor or a pair of horns.

Dora's skin is darker on her joints (most noticeable on her shoulders) and on her nose/eyes.

Facial Features

Difficult to see against her normal skin, but clear against the splotching, Dora has a smattering of light white/gold freckles on her face.

Dora has heterochromia causing the iris of her right eye to be blue and the iris of her right eye to be pink.

Physical quirks

When nervous/flustered, Dora will cover her eyes with her head wings.

Apparel & Accessories

Typically seen in blacks with some gold accents creating a very sharp look. Snake's attire is very fashion forward.

Personal history

Unknown Origin Universe

The knowledge and memory of Dora's original universe are hazy, but some information remains.

Dora grew up with her twin sister, Luna, on the streets of a city built atop ancient ruins as orphans. Together they took care of each other while training their skills to become Adventurers: a prestigious occupation. Eventually, the duo were picked up as apprentices by a well-known and renowned adventurer for her next big venture.

Unfortunately, after finally arriving at the ruined temple, the adventuring party came across a stone relief; a prophecy of disaster and ruin at the hands of a young woman that resembled the twins. The pair quickly became vilified and went into hiding. In an effort to protect her sister, Dora locked Luna up in their hideout while positioning herself as the villain.

Nexus

After the Collapse, Dora was disguised as Pan and sent to Nexus to keep watch on Fio (and the rest of the party, to a lesser extent). It was her job to keep Fio from causing trouble for her mysterious Boss. She took on a persona that resembled a mix between Pan and herself and tried to consistently appeal to Fio's thirst for knowledge as well as her interest in the finer things.

When the Party started to discover the truth, she was the one who put the greatest effort into controlling the situation. She was shattered during the initial fight on the Nexus outskirts.

The Outlands

Tasked with stopping the party from reaching Aetheria Machinara, Dora confronted the party in an Elsewhere pocket just outside of the city. Here, she had assumed her Nephilim form and fought alongside projections of Luna. She was, unfortunately, no match for the Party, however, and ended up getting knocked out before being dragged off to the Bastion for questioning.

Once in the Bastion, the party proceeded to question her while she recovered. She's since been convinced to stick around, if only to avoid whatever fate might be awaiting her once her Boss finds out she failed again.

Education

Dora has no formal education and is entirely self-taught. Despite this, she's quite knowledgeable about anthropology and survival. All of her paperwork in Nexus is falsified to give the illusion that she's qualified for her Museum position.

Employment

In her origin universe, Dora worked briefly as an adventurer before being outcast due to the prophecy. After that she mostly resorted to mischief and thievery to get by.

In Nexus, Dora was employed at the Phasticaar Museum as a Curator.

Accomplishments & Achievements

With no formal training and despite being a Nephilim, Dora managed to secure a position for both herself and her sister in a high profile adventuring party as young teenagers. Despite everything that happened, she is still immensely proud of this moment.

Mental Trauma

After witnessing a prophecy on a stone relief found within a set of ancient ruins, Dora and her sister were cast as villains by their adventuring party and later by their society at large. Any attempts to disprove or undo the prophecy were met only with further negative consequence. As a result, Dora struggles with trusting others and has a fierce need to have control over situations.

Personality Characteristics

Personality Quirks

Dora sometimes makes bird noises when she's experiencing extreme emotions such as when startled.
