As the onslaught of Hunter attacks intensifies at Bastion, its desperate government turns to AEGIS and the Lightkeepers to unravel the mystery behind their sudden surge. The trail leads them to the remnants of New York City, the former home ofGenTech, a once-prominent corporation responsible for unleashing the fearsome Hunters. The sprawling ruins of the city now serve as the hunting grounds for an epic investigation.
  Establishing a small outpost within the ruins, the Lightkeepers make a base of operations from which they launch daring forays into the untamed wilderness of old New York. Amidst the crumbling buildings, overgrown vegetation, and decaying underground tunnels, they seek to uncover the secrets that lie buried within the city's depths. They must embark on a perilous mission to locate hidden information scattered throughout the city, navigating treacherous terrain while outmaneuvering bloodthirsty human raiders and lurking Hunters as they search for vital clues about the source of the machines.
  Each cache discovered unveils fragments of GenTech's dark legacy, shedding light on the existence and locations of the hidden replication facilities called Blacksmiths. These long-forgotten structures are scattered across the globe, serving as the lifeline that sustains the relentless Hunter onslaught. As the Lightkeepers delve deeper into the city depths, they face constant danger and new enemies.
  Unraveling the enigma of GenTech's insidious creations and the key to disrupting the Blacksmith installations will prove to be one of the most dangerous adventures yet.
