Nexian Shard Devourer
"What the hell is that?!" Nicholas shouted from behind the bar.
Kranjax raised an eyebrow as he turned around, drawing his pencil-turned-sword "Ugly..."
"It better not be coming for my peach tart." Sori hopped off her barstool, oversized piping bag at the ready.
Reason was already out the door, clad in an aura of ominous, unbridled rage. He had a bit of a score to settle.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Nexus knows frighteningly little about these things. They have large claws on scaled hands. Kranjax swore it had saber-like fangs. Nicholas thought he saw a forked tail, on the end of each was a snake's head, and even the type of snakes were different. Wings have also been spotted poking out of the miasma. Contrary to the creature's scaled exterior, the wings are feathered instead of leathery.
Most of it is generally clad in miasma, the type of which gnaws away at any existence unfortunate enough to come into contact with it, if the creature hasn't pounced outright.
Genetics and Reproduction
We do not know. Most of us do not wish to know. As it is hails from the cataclysm, it could be a biological process. It could also be born every time someone has a nightmare.
Growth Rate & Stages
As far as we know, these things do not come in "baby". The smallest observed was the size of a sedan with little observed difference in size within the Nexus. The Great Tree's escapee Namixian Shard Spawn may be another story, but it's still being tracked.
Ecology and Habitats
These creatures generally make their home in The Cataclysm. They usually stay there... but once in a while, one get's out.
Dietary Needs and Habits
It's an omnivore, consuming everything from meat and vegetables, to rocks, specifically Nexus crystal
Biological Cycle
Surely, you'll forgive us for not venturing into Nexus Node - "The Cataclysm" to spy on a thing that would tear most mortal in twain. Also, antimatter lightning is bad for the skin... among other things.
We aren't going in there to look, alright?!
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
From all known encounters, it appears to have the same sensory abilities as humans, including touch, sight, smell, hearing, and taste. That last one required a few sacrifices from the Nexus kitchen to figure out. The creature is not a fan of sour flavors, but loves meat, and has a surprisingly high affinity for sweets, apparently, much to Sori's chagrin.
We think it can also sense magic, and have not yet determined if it has thermal reception or other things. That being said, its attributes change as it enters other worlds.

It eats most smaller things it can get its claws on.

Conversation? Nooooo. The goal is to eradicate these things!
