Namixian Shard Spawn

Tap tap tap quietly at the gates of fate. Tap tap tap quickly until the strings are pulled. Slowly the door opens with no one behind it. With a creak naught light birthed from void, the silence all encompassing. The sound of the heart no longer heard in ones own ears, ice filled veins scream to flee. The tapping at the gate, a horror let across the threshold. Silence, quiet, disconcerting creaks from the doorways, down the halls, in your ears. You call out to the empty corridors, not wishing to hear a voice. Ignore the breath down your neck, don't look back. Ignore the creeping across your skin, don't acknowledge it's there. Do not speak, lest it hears you.

The Shard that has fallen from unknown realms onto the world of The Great Tree has been changed. After the Second war of the Shadows, nothing escaped the Fifth Brothers influence, for The Shadows would not fall easily. Infecting everything with a renewed vigor, steeping into the fabric of reality deeper than imagined. Though, they fell, though Ilgor and the Quartet stripped Namix of this poisoned fate, not everything was spared.

The Shard that connects to the Nexus, was warped. Creating horrors that defy description, strong potent agents of a nightmare that no longer exists. A true threat that exists as the remains of a corrupting force, hunted down whenever found. These Spawn are not Shadow Touched Children, they are not Shadows. They are "other", nameless things that creep their way through the power of the Nexus, changed and warped through the Poison from the Shadows.

Any willing enough to challenge these creatures are either fools or gods. While these beings are not as strong and omnipresent as the Shadows, they are truly formidable enemies. Enemies of life, enemies of magic, enemies of existence. Woe be upon any who hears the tapping at the gates...
